ok hear me out here. i put on new ebc rotors and pads. but now it sound like it is metal to metal. every one here at the shop cant figure it out. now want i am asking is if it would matter if i had abs or not ? can it make a metal to metal sound if i had abs but got pads that didnt specify wich one they are. some pads say abs only and non abs. these pads that i got did not have anything like that on them. help please before something bad happens to the investment that i made. and yes no visible signs of anything going wrong:ughd:

check the clearance on the rotor and caliper i would think it would be the pads

If the pads are for your calipers, you're fine. Abs doesn't matter. Any metal on metal noise during breakin is normal - please read stoptech's white paper on pad breakin, and try to salvage whatever performance you can from those pads without glazing them.

that doesn't sound too good. Pull off your wheels and check for any damage on the rotors. If you see any signs of rubbing from a shim or bracket ... just make sure everything was installed right. abs shouldn't matter on pads.good luck

Performance breaks make noise when used lightly. If it squels, push harder, or turn up the music.

no not really, ebc's are horribad.
Porterfield streets, completely quite, don't break into pieces, or rapid fade like ebc's.

I hate metalmasters...they dust bad. I got Posi-Quiet cermaics off ebay that I'm going to put on, plus they are squeeling alot...didn't do that before when I got them put on last dec.
