im guessing it would be a lot easier and in the end maybe even more cost effective to swap in a ca18det, but on 2nd thought why would you want to put that much money in that heap of junk you call car

God Damnit!!!! You are really starting to Piss me off!! Do you ever have anything good to say about anything? Every post I've seen that you have posted is negative about something or somebody. This may be a heap of junk to you, but it may not be to somebody else. I'm sure there are 240's out there that look like the biggest pieces of shit on the outside, but can leave you sitting at the starting line anyday. Why don't you grow some balls instead of putting down other people, and trying to make your balls look bigger!

Sorry Shredmaster, I have no clue about either of those engines, but I had to get that out.

An '87 200SX is an S12.

The CA18DET head and accessories won't fit on a CA18ET (just like a KA24DE head and accessories won't fit a KA24E). At least, noone's ever done it. Swapping a complete CA18DET is the better solution, especially with CA18DETs being so cheap and CA18ET parts being so rare.

Any S13 engine will bolt into that chassis, SR, CA, or KA. I don't know how much work the wiring is.

Loren, I suggest you do some more research. Aside from a simpler rear suspension design the car is very similar to the S13.

don't use our lords name in vein. im sorry that you let words on a screen, that are generated by someone you don't know affect you. in my opinion spending the hundreds of dollars to get a ca18det head on a ca18t is pointless, since that cost would be more than likely more than the value of the car, for minimal power gains. You are right, i don't think there is a car on the road that wouldn't leave me sitting at the line, considering my vehicle is a bicycle. my posts aren't to try and make me look better.. i really don't care, i don't know anyone on this board, and the last time i checked i wasn't out to impress anyone.. well except for girls.
