I thought it would be interesting to ask because I just broke up with my girlfriend and one of the reasons is that she hated me doing or saying anything that involved cars in any way. This was just because she was jelous of my 240 and the time that it took. Haha

On the other hand, everyone who's seen my car (both guys and girls, less the people at the garage I go to) think it's ugly. I have a mismatched driver's side fender and headlight cover, partially primered hood, two black steelies in front, and two gold (w/ silver lip) 15" Volk rims out back (they wouldn't clear front calipers) and an exhaust leak that rattles if I go slower than 35 or so.

My wife is pretty cool about my car. She knows that I have a passion for cars and she lets me do what I want to it. She will also give me ideas on what to do next. Like when I was getting my rims, she said "hun... go for it... just get the 18's, better get them now instead of wishing you got them later" I take her every time I buy anything for my car. She is my buddy in fixing up my car. SHe may not like a few things but she still Loves it over all since I Love it... It's not the car... it's always the guy that's in the car!! =)

West has the same car. Only gray. And with HICAS. And more suspension mods. However, believe it or not, all of you, my car is faster then his. Seriously. We have yet to determine exactly how much faster, but it feels a helluva lot faster. And not a weight-type faster, just engine responsiveness faster. Mine looks like **** though.

One EX thought he was being sweet and decided to wash my rims with a wire brush (now I have scratches all over them).

Another EX couldn't drive a stickshift but told me he could. And after I had about 4 shots of tequila (we rode together) he killed my car 3x's and about dropped the tranny (I called my friend to pick me up and left him on the side of the road).

I have officially given up on finding someone that holds the same respect for cars as I do and that is somewhat sane and attractive. At least in the St. Louis area, most guys are worthless. And I don't blame my car for that!!!

on a related note, the stripper that took me to dinner Sun after the car show has always thought my car was cute. she's ridden with me before and I usually dont get on it with new females in the car well going down edwardia I did my usual blast to 80 down the straight to the RR tracks. the look on her face was priceless. she goes "I never Knew your car was that fast!" lol the look on her face was priceless :)

My wife loves the car. Infact she loves it so much that she won't let me trade it. It's paid off next year and she is I think looking forward to making it a project car. Sometimes we even get into little arguements over how I want to make it look.

The best part of it all is when I ask for a couple hundred dollars for some parts and her response "whatever makes you happy"
