Ok, I'm just going to warn everyone right now:
I picked up a set of spark plug wires for my '90 and every-one of them has seperated from the metal connector...

It seems that they weren't crimped properly at the factory, I've cut all the boots and repaired them and now they're alright (except for the disected boots.)

This isn't a case of mis-use, I always twist and pull from the boot; it's just crap product.

And please, no "you get what you pay for" comments, I buy a part from a reputable 240 parts supplier and expect a good deal; plus this is another no-brainer product that shouldn't be screwed up.

Have you notified PDM? They'd probably like to know, especially if you're gonna knock one of their products.

I've known Don online for awhile, and I know he's not the kind of guy that wants to fuck people over. As was already said, let him know about it... I'm sure he'll make up for it.

I'm going to let him know; I like Don and I'm sure that he wouldn't carry them if he knew this was the case...

Pretty irritating none the less...

where do you guys buy your wires, and how much do they cost (for the exact brand that you buy)? I'm doing a pretty big tune-up on my 240 and would like to pick up some NGK or Magnacores, unless anyone can recommend something else.
(The wires HAVE to be black.. I will NOT settle for red, blue, or hot pink. )

I take it you didn't have problems with your Auroras?
What difference do you feel (if any) w/ these wires?
I figure wires give more peace of mind than any real performance gains for most of us...

they are red, though. not black. so i guess that doesn't work for you, dog.

woah eric, mine are black... it says right on PDM. if not, ask, you can prolly get them still.

as for power gains, they gave me some power back, and it revved quicker, but i think almost any wire would have done that b/c mine were preeeetty old. they are nice and thick too with alot of rubber around them so they are nice and insulated. but overall, im happy with them. i may have gotten NGKS now though just b/c auroras are a canadian wire. if mine did have a problem or something, id have to send them all the way back up there to get new ones, while if i had the NGKs, i could just send them back or go to the store i bought them at and not get hit with so much shipping.

I have Accel 8mm wires from Enjuku.com Worked perfect. no complaints, and you can get them in several colors for about $65-70. I wouldn't expect any performance gain from any set of plug wires. Simply peace of mind, and better fuel economy.
