Well, i've been in the market for a new car and i think the S13 240 would fit my needs best.  Anyway, i've been lurkin on this board and F/A for a while now.  The only thing really holding me back from getting one within the next few months is the timing chain.  Is it really such a big problem?  How much would it be to replace the chain or guides?  I'm a broke 18 year old with 2-3k to spend.  How would you rate the overall reliability of your S13s?  Are there any other problems i should know about besides the injectors of 89 and below S13s?  Thanks.

My S13 has been very reliable, I replaced the timing chain at about 98K mi, it was a few hundred dollors(I did it myself,) but it lasts much longer than a belt, I have heard people who didn't have to replace there chain until about 150K.  Once you hear the clicking it is time to replace the chain, tensioners, and guides, but it really isn't a reliabillity issue.
