After all the x rays I had shattered my left ankle and broke my right foot from the transmission coming in and my foot going through the floor board. I had also from the impact I bursted my vertebrate. The air rescue said I was a miracle and they have not seen a bad as a wreck that I was in and as good as shape as I was. The scary thing was before we stopped at the stop light I did not have my seatbelt on my b/f made me put it on when he noticed even though we were not only but 3 minutes from his dad's house. I had a camry as my first car and didnt change the oil for like 20,000 miles. Got a rod knock. I drove that thing for like 3 or 4 months before I took it to the dealership. I remember going like 100 on the highway and it was just like t t t t t t t t t t tt t t t t t t really fast.
When I did take it to the dealership (cause it was under waranty) they said the rod was through the wall of the block. They wouldnt let me drive it home. So I had them replace the motor. No car for like 2 months but w/e. Motor was free.

Dude that shit reminded me of the time when I got rod knock in San francisco in my SR.
I attempted to make it across the bridge back home, because it was knocking slightly. Next thing I know I'm getting on the bay bridge uphill incline and I see my knock reading 1,000+ On my safc2. Shit threw a rod. I kept kick starting it. got me barely up the hill. Had to get pushed to the toll plaza that night.

when I originally watched it I thought it was a mechanical issue but now after what you said and watching it again it makes sense as he's driving there is a bunch of noise than his car starts to move around a little but he controls it than you hear the big pop and his car swerves off the road. no drive issue there

Thats all i have heard, not to mention i was there for that event and was there when the car crashed. MANY crashes? What event are you talking about? Cause there was only ONE major crash at the Qualcomm event i'm talking about...and that was the 350z.

edit- also, it doesn't get much worse. There ARE NO DRIFTING EVENTS IN SAN DIEGO. How much worse can i make it sound? Thats nearly as bad as it gets if you ask me. Yes it is!! If you havent drifted on wet with or without rain, its hard to do. ESPECIALLY at speed!
Everything that you do has a much more dramatic effect on the car. If you miss the initiation, then its too late to save it usually. And you understeer into the corner. If you over initiate, then its a spinout into the corner. And it is alot harder to get a car "set" without spinning out or the car getting traction back.

Wet drifting is very different and takes alot of practice. And in this video, the cars are running at speed. Not the 2nd gear, halfway through the corner initiation that alot of us can do.
And if you watch the cars that almost make it. They need that speed to make the corner.
