Lots of people hate the Automatic Seatbelts.  I was driving down the road the other day and noticed a Convertible 240.  The seatbelt looked like it was attacted to the door panel.  So if you could find a 94 Door panel would it bolt right on to the 89 - 93 240's?

Is it illigal to modify seatbelts?  I know it's illegal to modify the airbag, but I wasn't sure about the seatbelt.  I'm thinking about converting my seatbelts if I can find some.

Just out of curriosity...Is it true that all convertible 240's were automatics?

Yes all are autos. &nbsp;Except for the few that people converted to manual <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I love the convertibles. . They don't feel as crisp handling as any close-topped 240, but then when I drove one I owned my 92 Hicas equipped Canadian spec car. . haha. .

And yeh I love HICAS so shu'p. . =) &nbsp;

I'm kinda goin off on a tangent here, but I'd love a convertible with Kouki S14 front end, manual swap and SR... Full suspension and as much structural bracing as possible... That would be a great cruising car... Can we say Miata turbo with room to breathe and a rear seat that will accomodate a midget? =) &nbsp;
