2 days to cure the weld. Make sure you let it sit so the welds don't drip out of place. Sunlight with clear plastic wrap is good.

Mine have been curring for a month, lol

I heard it was a week to cure tho.

If you wanna trade or something, that is if you need them asap.

Na, I have spares that I poly'd.

I'll give them a week to be on the safe side... might as well.
:) thanks though.

We gave my friends 2 day and it was rock solid on the outside. Tried to hit it on the side with a hammer and it didn't do much. I'd say after the outer shell is cured through enough then there is enough there to support it while the soft nugget insides cure. lol

mkay, thanks for that.

thing is, if it wasn't 24 hrs I may not even be able to get around to doing it for a week anyway.

After 24 hours there was still a spot you could push in a thumb a little and it would flex like the inside was still soft. Definately wouldn't want to stick that in.

Make sure you drill 2 holes and drain the center of the mount then fill with WW. warm the WW beforehand to make it flow much better and cure better. Still will take a week.

I waited a month, just because I didn't have the money to install them :(

But that was long enough for sure. :)

I would wait a week, that's what my bottle said.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. Someone needs to do a test with like little cubes about the size of the motor mount and then cut them in half at different times to see how far it has cured. :x:

or.
you can do it by layers.

squeeze one layer of that ish.
let it cure, it'll cure <24hrs.
then keep doing multiple layers on top of that.
letting each layer cure properly.

I drilled the holes but these things were so bad that nothing came out...
and yes I went all the way through with them.

too late to warm it, but that might have made things a bit easier.

Damnit.. I guess I won't be able to change them in time for ThunderDrift... FUCK.

the curing time changes due to thickness
i did mine (split the tube open and packed it in by hand) and waited a week just to be 100% sure it was cured

Yeah, I just filled them all the way with the cock gun. :keke: and then packed it in with a putty knife.

I'm waiting a week.

Poly. PL it's in a yellow/blk tube..its the top. hardcore. So hardcore my fiberglass front end shakes, makes noises at idle lol Interior was to be expected..I let it cure for 2,3days tops. I have a picture of the mounts/tube somewhere if anyone wants to buy the stuff. I'm switching to nismos for spring I got for cheap.

I had a shitload of vibrations/noises.

Is the 3M window weld softer than PL?

I already did them with 3m window weld.. the shit that everyone and their mother has used.

I didn't put them in before the event so its not a big deal anymore. I'll put them in sometime before the next event. haha

I would venture to guess just a bit softer. I looked up a old post when I was going to poly the mounts someone said yellow/black tube.

I'd like too see a pic of your mounts to get an idea of how/where you filled with poly please.
I used the entire tube for the engine mounts, just filled in all the gaps etc. Function over form. I played around with other crap not so good, silcone/construction joint seen in pics. If I had to do it again less poly used thats about it.

:rawk: I just searched when I did it http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=79453&highlight=window+weld+mounts
Dousan_PG recommened the yellow/black tube which is the PL. It's rock solid when cured my engine moves .1" as well as shifter(nismo mount). At night my headlights shake at idle like a flashlight up/down. The PL is the best stuff though for a track car, for sale my old mounts 20bucks

we used stuff you fill concrete cracks with.
it worked well.

took about a month to cure completely though.

Guys, just take off your mount. go to home depot.. buy the PL stuff (I used the one for roofs.. its black). Clean your mount real good.. make sure its clean or you could potentially run into problems. Fill in your mounts completely and mold it to look pretty with a ice cube.. PL is resistant to water so it wont stick to the ice...

Enjoy :P

and just let it sit lol

Back to original question, wait a good 7 days and you should be ok. We sell this at my work and when i did mine i asked 6 different body men and they all said diff things. 3, 7, 14 days to 2 months. I just did mine in a week. If you leave em out in the sun, for some reason i can't explain, pour water on them and leave em out to dry. for whatever reason, this helps them cure better/faster/stronger (our work is never over) <lol
