Ok... Need some more technical input on this T25 Turbo I'm rebuilding. First off, the turbo in rebuild is an SR T25 Turbo that will have a S14 T28 compressor wheel and RB26 A/R 42 modified compressor housing to fit the T28. Now I'm sure most of you will think WTH!! will all them mixed parts. I have recently purchased a good S14 T28 on RB26 Turbine / Compressor housings. The original owner had used this on his RB26DETT. I also purchased a blown S14 BB T28 and basically just moved the housings to make a good OE spec S14 BB T28. Now I have T28 wheel and the modified RB26 housing to use on the SR T25 rebuild. So looking at the outcome specs it would be a Journal Bearing T28 on A/R 42 Housing. I'm thinking with the bigger wheel and smaller A/R housing will provide more air and slight earlier response with the lower A/R.

Original SR T25 Specs.
T25 turbine/compressor wheel on .80 A/R compressor housing.

After Rebuild T25 Specs.

Thanks for reading.. Pics will follow in a few minutes.

Hey man I tried calling you a few times but I have a T28 compressor housing with the adaptor ring you need to make it fit on the T28 center section.

Thanks I just got a blown complete S14 T28 BB for $50.. So I now got the full T28 and trying to reuse extra parts for my T25 rebuild. So what you think about this turbo?? I still might consider the housing for my GTIR T28 turbo. Send me a PM on how much you want for it. Thanks!

First issue I see, having taken both a T25g and T28 Ball Bearing apart is the swapability of the compressor wheels:

The T28 comp. wheel is larger in diameter than the T25g comp. wheel so the T28 comp. wheel won't fit on the T25g CHRA becasue the recess isn't larger enough to accept the T28 comp. wheel and anything done to make it fits defeats the purpose of such a swap in teh first place.

u guys are silly... just buy a better turbo - cutting corners will always cost more in the end

Unless a machine shop can machine the recess area larger in the T25g CHRA so the T28 comp. wheel, will fit.
