soo. no matter what gear i am, regardless of speed. there is this reallly loud noise that sounds like its coming from the bottom of the engine. its like a whine/grind noise kinda high pitched. the only thing i could think of is like a lose flywheel? because it makes the noise whether the clutch is depressed or i am in gear. neutral aswell. anyone got any advice?

i dont think it would make noise when its depressed, and i dont think it would just be at 3500 rpms... is your car sluggish when doing this?
check the cat, might be lose or something as easy as it rubs something at the RPM.

^^oh yeah or the heat shield for the exhaust manifold... mine used to do that and make a crasy noise... it a few bolts you tighten and your shits clean... i bet thats what it is.. that blew right over my head.. lol. at least, u hope thats what it is.

the turbine on your turbo could have some play

Your turbo elbow could be lose, the bolts from the downpipe get loose sometimes and make an annoying noise. Check all your bolts

I would def say if its at 3500 in any gear its exhaust, anything loose will resonate around there

ya check all your bolts on the exhuast
odds are its not your turbo. if it was that loose it would have exploded already.
