so I was sitting at a stop light, light turns green I put it into first gear and the car turns off( I know I didn't stall) so tried turning it back on nothing just all crank pushed it out of the way saw that the plug wire from the distributor to the coil was disconnected plugged that back in, idled low and check engine light was on though, so we drove it to a friends house(its still there) first thing we did is switched maf's with a friend karls (Slide S13) and put mine in his Maf was good, so we checked ecu code threw a 12, Asked chris(flybert) at the zilvia meet he said it could be the distributor, poped it open everything was in working order. put it back together made sure it was back to TDC. tried ecu codes again showed a 55 which is A OK! so turned it on still had the revlimit so reset the ecu and it showed the 12 again. checked all the grounds, I saw two wires in the back of the engine bay exposed not sure what they led to but volt metered them and they worked still, So I just covered them up. Checked the TPS that was fine. Somebody said it could have something to do with my intake(injen) will check tommorow and check the o2 sensor pretty stumped on this one, The wiring harness is also JANK so gotta rip it apart and see if anythings wrong (worst comes to worst) This is why you don't take your car to a shop! Nobody puts time into anything anymore!(previous owner was at the shop quite OFTEN) :smash:

I'm starting to believe all the manual cars i've owned are cursed with electrical problems

I've searched seen similar problems and tried all their solutions, none of them worked. Throw your ideas here! :wavey:
We forsure know its a MAF related problem. But not exactly the maf LOL.

Long thursday, and on top of that I got kicked off of the work schelude for thurs, So i'll probably be at the zilvia meet more often xD!

you do realize KA's has an external coil right? Hence that extra wire going to the driver fenderwall?
