No, This is not another one of those which is better threads, although I bet you guys were all exited to flame. Sorry. This is a video I found pitting the s13 silvia and the s14 silvia against eachother.

The S14 seems a little more tail happy while the S13 seems to understeer more. But the S13's lighter chassis does seem to give it somewhat of an upper hand in acceleration.
Anyway, good find S14 FTW! :)

I've noticed that even our USDM s14s are more tail happy than our s13s. I like it. I love my s14. Every single day.

hmm from what i've noticed, the s14 has more neutral handling, and the s13 is super prone to understeer, but its nothing a set of swaybars and springs won't help.

I love my s14's handling. no spare, light battery tokiko blues and eibach springs handles very nice.

There all dope to me. No preference S14 is bigger and I think would make a cleaner dd. and the 13 can be a chill dd too but on the track I think its all driver

Yea, that would be sweet. I was watching a video where they were at a 180sx factory in japan and the guy drove one outta the factory. It was all clean and fresh. You know they put the engine in, the driveshaft, and the diff all at once? they just raise it up to the frame.

Having owned 2 S13's and a S14.... Hands down the S14 is a far better chasis.

Ya but I don't care what the hell he says. One persons opinion does not make a car.
For me it comes down to this. I get inside a S13 and it says toss me, drive me, abuse me. It begs to get pushed through corners. I get in a S14 and its say oh ok I can do that. Though it does not ask me to do it. It feels large, It feels American. It feels like a setup Mustang Cobra. Not like a sports car. Which the S13 does feel like.
Before you going saying oh you have not driven a Setup s14, bullshit. I have driven fully setup Mustang Cobra's Fully setup S14's and Fully setup S13's in the end at least for me the S13 is the one. Funny how you quote drift king and the drift bible. Yet if you look at D1 and most of the great Japanese drifters and they are all driving 180sx's or S13 Silvia's. Why is that?
I don't think it needs explaining, they feel the way I do :D
Ya I know Nomuken is running a Skyline GTST right now but thats just to be different for show. Notice how he is not running a S14. LOL

Both of um are hot, s14 is more tail happy tho, which is actually more fun to me especially with a shot suspension and bad rear sub bushings. :( I like the s14 cause you just dont see as many of them on the road round these parts. After i finiah my s14 Ill probably build an s13 for the hell of it. I think you see alot more s13s modified cause you can find a shell or an old one for 500 bux if you wanted to really. Ive seen s14's that dont even move for 3000 in ny.

i love my fastback, but i will say, the s14 has the nicest rear end out of all S chassis.
and i wouldnt mind having a S14 as a daily with a mild suspension setup for touge runs every now and again...

the 90's were a tough time for car design, if you notice, the R33, the Altima, the camry, the J30, and the s14 (im sure there were others, but i cant remember them all) looked alot alike.

mid-late 80's car design > mid 90's (for the most part at least)
I liked the look of the truenos, s12's, s13's, starions, 1st gen integras, and fc's. It gave more of a sportier look, like it was meant for just 2 people.

IMHO s13's seem like the more mod friendly cars, You could have a janky ass s13 and get away with it, when moreso if you have a janky s14 it doesn't seem right, s14 feel a little more lux so you have to treat it that way.

You can correct understeer pretty easiliy for most tracks on the s13

mmmmmm Silvia K's Aero bumper!!! That was a cool vid. That s13K's was doing well for most of it and then the S14Ks just found the right line. I love 240z period. Im on my second pignose hatch. I want an S15. Maybe one day but my hatch has taken good care of me for sure.

It does have kind of that daily driver look/feel to it, and the ugly blue interior in mine just shouts, "mid 1990's" ... but who doesn't love that kei office body kit on the zenki S14 in the Drift Bible.... Definately subtle hotness. :naughty:

overall the s14 is the better of the 2. it is shorter and wider compared to the longer more narrow s13.
sure the s14s are heavier, but not by much
s13s are still cool!
my s14 was only 2,500 dollars, but it feels too "fancy" to throw around like a dickhead on the track.
plus, unmodded s13's around here are cheap, because people in the "new" south think that anythind made in 1994 is worth 1,000 dollars because its "so old"
