Yeah, so I can't get the EGR tube to line up after trying a shitload of different things. 4 hours on this....wasted. I was going to try heat, but I read where someone burned a hole in the tube very easily. Blocking it off is last resort because I have emissions to worry about. I've already tried to screw it in before bolting the header on/down.
Anyone got any pointers/info on what to do about the EGR?

i know this might be dumb but since u got the part off of ebay.. is this a s13 or s14 ka24de header!?
because the s13 and s14 EGRs are different...

nothing from ebay lines up without force =]LOL That may be the case with this one...
tried bending the tube?Of course. I may have bent it slighty, as it's closer to fitting than last night, but that thing is solid. It's almost zero play in it.

because the s13 and s14 EGRs are different...I think it's too close to fitting for it to be a s14 header, but the auction was for an s13 anyway.
Another thing I thought of is to loosen the egr from the intake manifold, but there's one screw that I wont be able to reach...so that's out of the question.

For mine (and I had a hotshot header) we had to remove the egr tube from the car & bend it outside a bit first.
Also, if you loosen up one side (i.e. the intake manifold side), it might help w/ the angle, etc.

Block it, you'll pass without it. As long as the cat is functioning you do not need EGR, period.

i had this same problem when i put headers on... like staterd above, you need to loosen the side of the intake manifold... it woudl still be off if i didnt do that. try it. if not then yes, block it.

i had the same problem. sh^T was fuc^in annoying. took me two days and a sh^t load of cuts on my hand to get it on. all it took was taking header and downpipe off so i could move the header around and it worked. try that

This is what I'm encountering with my Hotshot.

Ok, so I got the egr tube on...had to loosen the 2 bolts on the egr itself, but now I can't get the socket back on 1 of the 2 bolts...it's always something. Spent fucking 6 hours today on this.

I tightened the outter one, but for some reason the socket wont go back onto the inner bolt. That's ALL I need to do to be done. It's always ONE thing.
