I know the previous thread was closed due to off topic and seemed it was advertising. The raffle is for a non-profit organization that will be donating proceeds to the Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay so if this is against the rules then please lock the thread.
That being said, proceeds are being donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay. There are 500 tickets available selling for $100 per ticket. The car is being provided by Sean Morris, he will be making a video of the car some time next week. The winner will be drawn at 5:00 p.m. EST on Monday, December 24, 2007 and need not be present to win. Tickets can be purchased at ImportRaffle.com (http://www.importraffle.com).

I don't think this raffle is real...I could have sworn I saw this car being sold in washington with state license only or does not have a bond release...Something to that affect in freshalloy not to long ago.

It has never been done before so there will be skepticism. Sean will be making a video of the car some time next week, maybe that will help with the "not right" factor.

They were taken at RB Motoring.

500x100=50,000 Bucks
So if they dont get the 50k then the cash is the price. This looks like nothing "charitable" to me. I guess whoever wins the 100 dollar Skyline would be lucky. Not a bad way I guess to get your money you want for the car.

too good to be true?
eh.... the people selling the car don't care how much it costs the buyer, they care how much they receive from the raffle, which if it goes well, would be well over the cost of outright buying the car
example: i'll give you my car if you get someone to give me 10 grand for it

well if its going to charity how is it that if he doesnt get 500 tickets sold the winner gets the cash, wouldnt the cash be for the charity. Im just confused and looking for clarification because if that is legit i will be the first one to throw up some cash.

It is all explained in the FAQ on the website.
"If the minimum amount of tickets for the specific vehicle are not sold on or before the issued raffle date; Import Raffle reserves the right to modify the raffle by adjusting the prize or extending the raffle date. The prize would be adjusted by withdrawing the vehicle from the raffle and substituting a drawing for a cash prize to be determined by the total number of tickets sold less expenses incurred, with net proceeds being divided equally between the winner and Import Raffle."
The portion going to import raffle would be the portion going to the charity.

You ment IR not RI? Also let me get this straight... Its at RB Motoring but the raffle is not taking place in cali? And at the end of the raffle, if you sell all the tickets by sometime when ever, the guy not in cali will call the winner telling him congrats you just won a illegal car in the us and have to first pay taxs for winning it, a place to crash test it aka IR, to send it to get epa, nhsta, dmv, and all the other stuff Motorex forgot about and took peoples money and ran to China? No hatred towards the people who fkd it all up for us poor guys buying and trying to keep our RHD cars here in the states, well that should be another topic. How about this i have a money order and will make it out to you for $60,000 dollars for all the tickets you keep the change and i win? So how many tickets left i am in....lol

I meant RI (Registered Importer). The company is based out of FL but the car is located at RB Motoring correct. Hence why Sean Morris is providing the car. No I will call the winner, what "guy" in CA are you referring to? Taxes are included with the ticket price and will be paid by IR.
