View Full Version : SS clutch lines and drift buttons!!

NemeGuero

Does someone make a complete SS clutch line that replaces the hardline and the soft line? (I deleted the damper box so I don't care about that ish)

or does someone know what end fittings to use so I can just make one?

and secondly... who has a drift button and wants to give me measurements?

Inner and outer Diameters and length.

And before anyone says anything, I have free access to a machine shop and free aluminum stock so its free to make for me.

Vacuum log/manifold pretty much just a rectangle with holes drilled.

Cheapest I found was from Voodoo for $25 for 6 ports and $21.95 for 4 ports.

Enjuku has a hardline replacement. It looks like a SS clutch line but longer, just hook it to your current line and bam. They sell both. Master to loop, and loop to slave. $40 bux each. Look it up.

NemeGuero

Dunno if there are drill bits long enough to go all the way through the block.
Cut away looks like this, right?

taka has them for $65 for the complete I think.

Yup exactly like that.

Yea the Taka one says MC to SC. Im sure you can build one for a lot cheaper. The shop I go to would probably do it for $25-$33 I just dont know the thread pitch.

NemeGuero
10-31-2007, 06:47 PM
I'll spend the extra money on not having to build it myself. haha $65 aint bad.

If I have the 6 1/8 taps at the machine shop I'll do it.

MegasquirtCA
10-31-2007, 06:50 PM
The holes on the end are 1/4 NPT, and the 6 holes are 1/8 NPT I dont really think I need 6 ports I could get away with 5.

fucking pointless to get a ss line when stock hard lines already do their job and the hard lines are already mounted in place and you're changing it to ss line because why your dumbass the likes to have some clutch line flopping around when the stock lines are perfectly fine

No FUCKTARD. I'm replacing the line to eliminate it as a suspect for air leaks.

and it only flops around if you do half-ass work. All it takes is a simple ziptie or 2.

Neme,

Agency power makes a really nice braided line that is wrapped in some black plastic protective shit. they make a long line for "AT to MT" conversions and a short line that is probably for people who eliminate the dampener box. i actually accidentially bought both of them, and it worked out great and it's the perfect length when using both.

short line:

taka has them for $65 for the complete I think.

dammit, I bought mine about a year ago, for 80. Oh well. Works great though, you have more than enough line so that you can move the slave around when you need to. There's no tightness in the line at all.

cuz ash > takamotorsports

For me I just like Ash's personal touches on things. He's a 240 owner and a hachi owner, a 510 owner and an ASE certified Mastertech, not to mention he's worked at Bakerprecision a while making custom lines, for daily cars and trucks to full raced out cars and trucks. Yah pretty much when I need to do lines I just go to healtoeae86 (aka ash)

The Agency Power auto-to-manual line is the full thing (MC to SC). That's all you need. Look at the fittings:

http://www.agency-power.com/catalog/images/ap-240conclutchline1a.jpg

$40 :D I plan on getting one, because I bent my hardline the wrong way and I can't use the clutch bracket with my SS clutch line...so mine just dangles.

EDIT: errrr...looks like Im wrong? That guy on the first page said he's using a clutch line + this long one.

MURPHY

Neme,

F the drift button, way too unreliable.

Just pull the locking mech out of the ebrake, park in gear.

I've had those stupid buttons unlock mid bullshit, its not fun.

As for the SS line, best mod to clutch system. Bleeding now will take 2 mins, instead of 45, pedal feel is a "little better", not tilton good, but not nissan bad.

Yah, I just finished making the first one. You gave me CRAP dimensions. hahaha

You used a ruler and eyeballed it, huh?
I got close, but the button needs to grab the original button more (which was the purpose of the rear dimple).. I gotta drill it out more and then it should work.

It'd help if you could get that pic to me.

can i get in one of those if they work? doesnt have to have any finish or colors or anything just sumthing when i go for a run stik it in there and keep moving and take it out as soon as im done (in case i have to park on a hill or sumthing) if you make any extra ones tell me ill see if i can find the $$$

NemeGuero
11-08-2007, 01:35 PM
haha, good, cuz they won't have any finish. I don't know how to annodize.

I don't think you can remove it and just have a working e-brake again, cuz you have to release the return spring.

This doesn't keep your e-brake from working.. you push it in and it stays in and the e-brake releases by itself.

You can pull the button out to lock the e-brake for parking on hills.
