i searched for a similar thread, but found nothing.

do any of you guys do 'canyon runs' etc? i thought this would be a good place to post up some of the best roads that we've driven on. and share about where the road is, or even take a pic of your car on the road. heck, even schedule a meet / run...

i got the idea from a motorcycle forum.

i know what i'm doing this weekend... (finding sweet roads)

:bigok:

The reason it was never posted is because that's how you burn spots that some people might like to drive in. Giving specific locations is basically giving the cops all the information they need to bust people that could be going there.

Also, you're inviting every single noob that thinks they're Takumi to go up there and drive off cliffs.

this thread would be cool for people like me that go up to canyons and drive at a safe speed but still fun to enjoy the company of your car and beautiful scenery. on the other hand there is always idiots to ruin it =[

Deal's Gap/Dragon's Tail/Tail of the Dragon

I do the speed limit there

Just like anywhere

Don't flame me for liking fun roads that I drive on properly

I have no problem giving you the location. If you drive like an idiot (Crossing the double yellow line, running off onto the shoulder, speeding, sliding, etc. etc. etc...), Tennessee Troopers will take care of you.

I'll volunteer both of these websites b/c they're mostly just scenic routes. NOT banzai akina dorifto touge max roads. but nice cruises. most of em are well known to law enforcement and some of em are well patrolled. exercise caution and GOOD judgement anytime you're driving on public roads. save the crazy driving for drift days at sanctioned tracks. there, i feel better.

i prefer scenic, as the open road is not a place to drive like an idiot.

God, the PCH is beautiful. We drove down through Monterey and Half Moon Bay on the way to Santa Cruz (in a rental Xterra, but it didn't matter). Almost makes me wish I lived in Norcal. Almost.
