I'm ready to buy an SR20 and I have searched but haven't come up with anything much in regards to tokyomotorimports.com? Does anyone have any reviews on them/their engines?

get ready to get flamed for not fully searching!!!
I think that is the same thing as Osakamotors)pretty sure) I got my motor from them, and it was decent, but just today read a thread about some guy who got a shit motor from them, and have also heard bad things about them before(I guess i got lucky)
check out local shops(SR20store)(Sam @ J-spec)(G-Dimensions)

I checked out Noyan and I wanted to get a motor from them but then I was advised by several people not to do that, as they had seen several bad motors come from that place. I was also thinking about Japanese Engine Importers located in Sterling, Va but haven't been able to find any information about them either. I don't want a crap motor, but I'm planning on building it anyways so buying a $1300 motor from tokyomotorimports.com (or Osaka) doesn't seem like too bad of an idea.

Honestly, when I got my RB20 from Venus Auto I was fairly impressed with them. Motor was good, customer service was good also. Only thing I had a complaint about was that the shipping co. didn't have the required equipment to get the 1100 lb. front clip off of the truck in front of my house. So I had to rent a forklift :ugh: Shouldn't be as much of a problem if you get a motorset though.
Although that was 4 years ago, so I can't comment on how they are lately.

Well those people are stupid. Who are they? Both Noyan and JEI offer return policy. They even let you replace just certain parts off of the motor. What more do you want?
They are used engines that have been in a JUNK YARD for 10+ years. Every place gets their lemons.
Another option is to completely rebuild your KA24DE and turbo it. That way you know your engine is brand new. It will roughly cost the same as buying an SR20.
