I am switching from a profec b spec II to a Greddy e-01.

Sr20det blacktop stock t25 + 3 in exhaust + FMIC

I am wondering what kind of numbers I should be running. My settings on the profec b were crap and never worked right. but I do have them written down.

Another boost controller won't make a difference. Why not try and get the settings correct on the profec b before spending a grip on another boost controller that you still won't know how to set up correctly?

instead of buying another boost controller you should get an hks actuator, then your existing boost controller will work better or you may not even need it and it only costs $100

That's exactly what I did :bigok: but since he said that he already has a boost controller might as well try and set it to work correctly before spending any more cash

I traded my profec 2 for the e-01 straight up. I didn't like the profec b so it seemed like a good deal to me.

As for the actuator, I planned on going new turbo and instead I payed off bills so now I am stuck with my same set-up and a new boost controller.

Nobody I have talked to really likes the profec B, so now I come on to zilvia with a different boost controller and so far the 2 replys says I should of stuck with the profec b

Well I curretnly have the profec b spec 2 and I kinda have mixed feeling about it. Its all good at low boost but setting it for high boost is a PITA and I kinda got close but then I put it off and it has seemed to lost all the setting or soemthing or reset it self. I will have a local tuning shop take a look at it first then Ill see. I might be getting a new boost controller soon, I dunno. Anyways I hear all kinds of stuff about the B spec 2, half good and half bad. Its good that you now have a profec e-01, thats one of the best around. Not the best one of the best.

So setting huh, im not sure what kinda settings you would run but I wouldnt run any more then .9 on that T25 even with the front mount. Dont worry about running high boost right now as you said your getting a new turbo setup so dont want to end up blowing up your motor before you get the new goodies...

I used to have a profec b spec 2 but I didn't really like it. From what I've read the e-01 uses the same solenoid but is a tad more complicated. Search around and I'm sure you'll find a thread about the e-01. Good luck :D

the only problem with that and even the new controller he got is that you can only add so much boost over the stock actuator before it just starts falling off, to accurately hold higher boost the actuator has to have a higher initial setting, like on an external gate you can only go a certain amount of boost above the spring you have so you cant get a consistent 20 psi off of a 7psi spring with a boost controller, i think you can get 150% of the initial setting so 7psi can do as much as roughly 11psi with a controller consistently, just to clear up what i was saying.
