rb help

does anyone no what i can do about my alternator on my rb. its not charging and i dont no where i can find a new one. i can get it rebuilt but it would be nicer to jus get a new one. any help would be nice thanks

:hammer: ya your best bet is to rebuilt it you can order it from japan out here in cali we hve a few dealers that can order them but it will cost alot and will take along time to get in.

If I remeber correctly it's interchangeable from a B13 Sentra 1.6L straight bolt on.


Well, it turns out that is was the alternator giving me this trouble the whole time...

I took my rb26 alt off my car today, and along with a spare I just received from a Ebay purchase, took them to O'Riley's Auto and had them tested... both are toasted.

I had a parts counter guy helping me that actually knew his azz from a hole in the ground, cause he spent around a half hour going thru some parts X ref books, and he came up with a match off the shelf that is a 99% exact match to my rb alt.

It comes on the 1.6 liter Nissan Sentra 92-95 and it bolted right up w/o one single mod, except I had to buy the next size number down for the alt 3 ribbed belt. I had my belt in hand and he just went to the shelve and grabbed the next smaller belt. The reason being, the ear that the bolt goes into to adjust the belt tension is at a tadd different angle.... thats it...

Cost me $64.00

You could use an alternator off of a 95 quest. this is an upgrade for our motors.

i jus bought the one for a b13 and it looks almost exactly the same but im not gonna have time to put it in tonight but when i do ill let eveyone no. thanks for all the help guys!!!!!

next size down foe what for a b13 or the next size smaller then the one i had?

i already answered ure questions but yes take ure RB belt and get the next size down on the one u have
