SR20 won't start????

I tried starting my SR the other day and when you turn the ignition to try to start it clicks and doesn't start. The starter checked out good at AutoZone. I checked all grounds, fuses under dash and underneath hood and everything seems to be good. Is there any other switches or fuses that I need to check??? Thanks

Sounds like a dead battery to me.

yea, clicking is like you have enough power for accessories, but not the motor

i tried jump starting it and it didn't work

It might be that your alternator is no good and your car was running with nothing but the battery and the battery got drained and this whats not letting your started get enough juice.

we put a voltage meter on the starter and it reads 12 volts when you try to start it

I'm having the same issue trying to start my SR for the first time after install. I think my problem might be grounding, you might check that out.

Do a search for a SR FSM and go to the EL (electrical section)

I downloaded the S14 SR FSM. I think there is a link in the SRfaqs.

corrosion on the battery terminals

i had corrosion on the alternator wire,(main power cable) and it woudl do the same thing, i wiggled it around to break some loose and it started right up, check the grounds, then check the alternator wire
