well i get my sr20 redtop tomorrow and i am dropping it off at my mechanic but i need to know one last thing. my 96 s14 is automatic right now so i need to kno in order for my manual conversion (tranny coming with motor) I kno that i will need a new drive shaft b/c of the length difference. but my question is-
will the s13 manual driveshaft and pedals fit in the s14 chassis? cus i wanna go to the junk yard and buy those parts but am not sure of the compatibility.
thanks a lot guys.

the driveshaft wont work, but im not sure about the pedals, and just buy a new clutch master cylinder and lines and slave cylinder. just do it.

i am in the same situation your in..you will need a manual s14 driveshaft..non abs or abs..there both different so make sure you get the right one...or look into a one piece driveshaft..my s14 was non abs so i had to hunt down for a non abs one..s14 parts are harder to find then s13..the s14 clutch pedal is the one you will need to buy..plus you will need the center console trim which is different also..
you can also save money and cut the brake pedal instead of buying a manual brake pedal :)

i've got a 5spd, manual, abs driveshaft. (its not the entire driveshaft, just the piece you need. (cause half of the driveshafts are all the same, and the other half is what varies car to car...at least thats how its been explained to me)

pm me a offer if you want it.

s13 petals work
just get the clutch petal ad hack half of your brake petal off.

keep the chassis specific rear section of the driveshaft
the front section is dependant on transmission.

you need that tranny section to the right
the one on the left is an s13 one.
you can see the length difference
it will "work" but it is way to short

To make the s13 manual clutch pedal fit the s14 chassis you need to play around with some spacers, I think i used anywhere from 0.5" to 0.75" worth of washers/spacers (try and use spacers something thicker than washer) on the two mounting studs, in between teh bracket and inside of the firewall.. Just space it out enough so that the top bolt hole lines up with the threaded hole up inside the dash (hanging your head under the dash looking straight up)..

Its pretty basic, s13 parts will all work on s14 except the speed sensor and driveshaft of course.

thanks a lot viperbite for the picture clarifying that up for me and also thanks to the rest of u guys. However Gotta240......do you think that your non abs drive shaft will work for my car. i think it is non abs b.c i dont see the little light on the cluster saying it has it nor do i have the leather seats and keyless entry; however, it is an SE model. It doesnt even have an lsd so does this mean its deff. not an abs equipped vehicle? should the driveshaft even matter?

anyone can answer that for me.
thanks a lot guys!

hopefully someone else will chime in here. I'm not sure if the abs/non abs driveshafts were the same or not.
My driveshaft comes from a abs equipped 240 though.

wheres r240na when you need him?!

The rear piece is different for ABS and Non ABS. Dont mess up and get the wrong one, it wont fit. Although I cant really chime in on how to setup a S13->S14 Driveshaft, since I have no expierence with S13s.
