So I was driving to work went to down shift from 5th to 4th and all the sudden my clutch just stuck to the floor board and would not come up!

So now i walk the car park it and see if I can get it into gear with the engine on nope so i shut the car off and it slips into each gear as it did before the clutch pedal stuck to the floor. I took a look at my clutch fluid pretty low but still there so now I cant drive my car any more the clutch does not have any pressure as soon as i press it down it just stays down and does not come back up. I was having some problems with it getting into reverse and 1st before this happend but it always managed to go into gear any ideas?

CAR:
1990 240sx stock engine and tranny 130,000 miles not sure when clutch was last replaced.

Agreed. Bleed the clutch possibly?

that did that to me once. clutch pedal stayed on the floor and i had low fluid. I knew it was either the slave or the master but I needed to get home to take care of those. What I did? Made sure to refill the reservior, and I pulled the pedal up manually (with my hand). After that, it was ok enough to drive home! It had very low pedal engagement and occasionally it would go back to the floor. repeated and got home without paying for a tow! GL

Yup, one of the two went out. Try to see where it leaked from, IF it's full(doubt it) there may be air in the system.

i had a hard time getting my car into 1st from a stop too for a while... however my clutch pedal never just gave out..

anywho... i didnt have to change either slave or MC... i just had had a friend... pump the clutch and hold it down while I bled the clutch master cylinder, then i went inside the car and found a (forgive my ignorance of technical terms) 10mm or 8mm nut thing that adjust pedal play.. and messed with that ... and when i started it back up it worked fine again... i dont know which ghetto fabulous remedy worked.. but they worked!

that was last march/april and havent had a problem since ... then again mine wasnt as bad as yours... :hs:

you can. the first several times you pump the pedal, its gonna go all the way to the floor and stay so you'll have to manually pump the pedal up and down by hand. once the pressure starts building and air bleeds out, it should spring up on its own. once the air is out of the system, adjust the pedal height and freeplay according to the FSM!
