Just wanted to know if the S14 and S14A both have compatible bumpers that would just bolt on without any modifications. I'm thinking about getting a bumper but it doesn't specify if it's for S14 or S14A. Thanks!

Ok, so I am assuming that when you say "S14" you mean S14b (95-96) right? Well, as you probably know, S14a and S14b have different headlights. The front bumper is a little different for each around where the front headlights go. So thay are not compatible. Ask the seller for more info on that bumper your looking at.

the bumper will bolt on somewhat, but the sides won't match. Ive seen it done before and its not too bad .

so your saying we can swap out the 95-96 bumper for the 97-98?

I wonder how that looks

It's not a direct swap... (might be able to force it in though) since the '95 bumper curls up a bit around the headlights and the '97 bumper is flat.

assuming the front spaces to the headlights correctly, you would have to fill in the area between the fenders and bumper with fiberglass or something.

it'd be interesting, as some of the aftermarket '97 bumpers are pretty nice.

(Personally, I like the '95 stock bumper more than the '97 stock)

Why would you say that an 95-96 is S14b?? As far as i know it's just cold S14(95-96), S14a(97-98).

heres a question for you:

Why would u want to go back and bring up an OLD thread for?

y do SOME ppl call it s14b? and s14a? they are not wrong some ppl just say it that way..wat? if they say it like that..not worthy enough for you? as far as u know it..its juss cold s14..but there are other names to it as well like s14b

heres something for you:

S14, S14b[efore] = 95-96
S14a, M[inor] C[hange]S14 = 97-98

doent matter which of the two you wanna call em..they still work

Since I'm working on my front end conversion I decided to give it a try.

They are not swappable(is that a word?) the 97-98 fenders will not line up and they stick out more. I try this just so I can drive on the street and I have to say it looked like crap.
