(that's not mine, just showing the area)

two of the bolt holes are completely stripped on a new 240 project I picked up.. just wondering if the area is accessible from the other side and how?

just considering my options before I go crazy with a tap and die..

thanks in advance

something doesnt look right....how is the crossmember sitting so far back from its stock location..but still bolted up to the tranny.....did he use an auto crossmember??

it's looking like I'll have to.. I'd like to find a way to put a nut on the otherside, but it seems that it's part of the floor pan.

also, make sure you have the right crossmember. just to be positive.

looks like a Z32 tranny in the pic, he was just using it for reference. To the OP, tap it the next size bigger and use larger bolts.

That pic is of an s-chasis with an RB swap. You have to turn the crossmember backwards to line up with the RB trans mount holes. As far as your problem goes I would just drill them to a size bigger, probably SAE instead of metric, and re-tap them.
