what exactly does advancing or retarding the timing do?..i have a sohc and i wanted to play with the timing a lil bit and try to get a lil better low end responce..is that what advancing and retarding does? one will give a lil better low end and the other a better on the top? i searched but never found the answer i was looking for

eh leave it alone... either way advance is low end, retard is higher rpm... cause it needs to happen sooner cause its happening faster ... but yeah you highly modified? doesnt sound like it soo leave her to spec

its just plain stock. wasn't sure if it would make a big difference or not being stock..thanks
