I believe the new ones without the adjustment screw in the back does not have the option for recirc. i maybe wrong. lolz
to answer the question, HKS wouldn't put out a BOV or any other part that create idle problems on it's own, you have another issue... check all the locations where you are utilizing vacuum tubes for a leak. Easy way is to spray WD40 on them one at a time, if your idle shoot up, that is where your leak lives. As for recirculating it, shouldn't have to.

I guess I don't have the new HKS valve, but the old one. I have no idle problems if it mattered.

I as well have the new HKS SSQV BOV and I also have bogging and messy idle....I would like to find out this as well, possibly bad vacumn?

if its bogging its not your bov. There is a vacuum leak somewhere in the system. The common issue pertaining to the idle on uncirculated bovs is when you gas and disengage the clutch and then it might stall out or go on the verge of stalling out. If you are idling bad without throttle then its a vacuum leak. There might actually be a leak in the bov or flange too. Like LTDNismoracer whatever said, spray wd40 or brake cleaner and see if ur idle changes and there's your leak.

i had the new HKS BOV on my subaru's FMIC. no problems whatsoever. just like everyone said you need to check for leaks and on top of that make sure you are using a good vacuum source running to the rear of the valve. mine had its own vacuum line straight to the valve. i advise not to have anything tee'd into that line cuz it can create problems.

+1 I have it and didn't need to recirc either. Works just fine!
BTW BOV doesn't usually cause idling problems, but it sometimes causes stalling problems on deceleration on cars with a MAFS if the BOV isn't recirculated.
