Can anyone tell me where the VIN's are located? I have a customer wanting to sell me a car and I want to verify its not stolen. Checked these spots already - dash, inside door, firewall, and it has a different engine and tranny so its no where on those parts.
Thanks

it should be right under the windshield where you put your registration information and inspection? i looked at mine yesterday.
and it should be on the title he is giving you?

imprinted into the firewall, the engine code plate riveted onto the firewall, bottom of the windshield and the door jamb on the sticker is the only place i have ever scene the VIN on a S13.
It may be located on the emissions sticker on the hood, can not remeber as I do not have that sticker on my car anymore
also, they are not on the motor/tranny/drivtrain at all from the factory.
on top of the dash by the drivers side look through the window down at it
inside the engine compartment by the passengers side firewall a metal riveted piece
drivers side door seal has a sticker
there is probably a lot more but those are the ones I know of
edit after reading your post if those are stripped something isn't right
Post up pics or info on the car. It sounds stolen and it may belong to someone here.

Yeah, I don't think its stolen. I hope its not! Its just really riced out. I bought it because it runs like a champ, but its so ugly I'm embarrassed to post pics! The guy I bought it from took the dash out, sanded over the metal plate with the numbers on it. He also painted the engine bay and flat blacked the body and door seals. I have the title, but I wanted to compare the actual number on the car with the number on the title.
On my other car the VIN is on everything, etched in the glass, twice on the tranny and all over the plastic interior pcs, I was hoping this one would have it somewhere kind of hidden.
Thanks for the info!

I wouldn't buy it, it might come back to bite you. No one hides all the vin numbers unless they are hiding something.
