This forum proves get shittier and shittier every day.

I ordered tein coilovers through the marketplace here on Zilvia from a member name VBL. He told me they were "still in good condition" and had "8-9k miles" on them. So after I ordered them I didn't hear from him for three days. I started getting nervous, then he finally responds and I receive them this last Monday.

Now, you have to understand I don't have alot of extra cash, I pay for three cars, a mortgage, and all the little bills in life, including my fiance's school, which is not cheap. So saving $350 dollars is a big thing for me, and requires a lot of sacrifice, so you can imagine how thoroughly upset I was when I opened the box and found the biggest fucking mess you have ever seen in your life. Three of the boots were ripped, they are filthy, scratched, bent, the struts are loose, and THREE OF THE COILOVERS ARE COMPLETLY BLOWN!!!!!

So I search the web and find this dickbag VBL's phone number and address, if he lived near me I would get to his house personally, but he lives in Minnesota and I am in cali. I have called him, texted him, emailed him, pm'ed him (he has been logging on) and the pussy is afraid to answer his phone.

So I contact paypal, file a dispute, then escalate it, only to find out ten minutes later that they WON'T EVEN INVESTIGATE because it wasn't ordered through ebay (when I called initially they never mentioned it and after hearing my story told me I would probably get my money back). So they basically tell me to fuck off, they aren't going to do anything. So now I am out $350 bucks, have to have them rebuilt at $100 per coilover, so they will end up costing me $750 bucks, the same amount I could buy them new from some site.

So does anyone know VBL? I would appreciate it if you knew his parents phone number so I could get a hold of them and try and resolve this. Also, what other ways can I go about to get my money back, file a dispute with the credit card company, mail fraud, police report.

Just called his number, the coward changed his phone number!!!! can you believe this. It is so frustrating to work your butt off (i work over 50 hours a week so I could save the money to buy my s13 and these new parts i keep getting flammed for) and some loser just steals from you.

that sucks. you have to be VERY careful when it comes to the marketplace. another thing you have to understand is that paypal wont help anyone (at least thats the way i look at it). they're basically like a bank. you tell them where the money goes. done. the buyer needs to be cautious at all times.

wow all i can say. I could have gotten you a new set for cheap and then i never heard from you. plus i was local like 15 min to be exact. 350.00? that should have told you something right there.

I know man, I was going to, but my girlfriend is an international student so I have to come up with 2600 dollars a semester for Junior College, so I am a pretty broke guy after that and mortgage. It took me a long time to save this much money. I missed 15 days of work a little while back due to some trouble i had, so money was really thin. Now i have no choice but to get these rebuilt, just spoke to tein, thankfully i got cheap Tein Basics, so they are only $75 to rebuild.

paypal should investagate the problem it just might take them a month to get back to you. I have had the same problem in the past. Check with your credit card company if that is the payment source you used. Discover card would refund my card asap and investagate the matter themselves. All I had to was send the item back to the seller and let the he sell know the item was at the post office. Shit you might luck out. If doesn't pick the item up from the post office then they will send it back to you, and you'll have your refund. It would serve that fucken asshole right for ripping you off. Owe and Fuck Paypal! They are stealing our money!:fawk2:

Live and you learn buddy, some people have lost way more. Don't give up going at this guy. He knew what he was selling you.

On another note:

Maybe its not the forum that gets shittier?

Maybe its paypal?
Maybe its sellers trying to make an easy buck?
Maybe its America in general?

I knew they were used, they are aesthetically just dirty, guess I should not believe someone, nothing I saw said "three of the shocks are completely blown". I figured they had just been through a couple of minnesota winters, but three of them being blown is a whole different from being dirty. I could clean them up and they would look new, but they are trash. Sorry I ever believed someone, I just make the mistake of thinking people are as honest as me, I would never rip someone off.

now someone is bashing me in my reps for this too? some people on here really have no class, thanks for the good thoughts from most of you though. I am going to go through my credit card tonight.

and to the guy above, paypal COMPLETELY refused to investigate this matter. They said they only investigate if it is through ebay, which I know is bullshit. I

Thankfully tein usa is only ten miles from my house, I will be dropping off two of them to get rebuilt this weekend, and the next one after my next pay day. I will end up paying 625 for these, what a crock.

Hey, if you paid with a credit card, request a chargeback. Paypal has no buyer protection.

i had the same type of problem on ebay with a ps2 i bought, i never got the ps2 for$150 and i had the guys # and address. i told the bank about it they gave me my money back and since i had a visa check card through the bank and the transaction went through the bank account they did an investigation. come to find out this guy had screwed a bunch of people off, the fbi got involved and now hes in federal prison, and because i was pist over $150 bucks he's now in jail. so try to get the bank involved.

Thats my next move, thank you very much for the advice, I would love to see this guy in jail, he will obviously keep doing this kind of stuff. Did you have to send your stuff back? I really don't want to because I got free shipping on this stuff, so I will still be out money, which really sucks.

he's got like 3 houses and another track car and he makes hella more money

but he buys awesome cheap shit and used parts, bragging about how good they are when they're sitting around and bitching about how it's everyone's fault Zilvia, Paypal, us, when stuff sucks.

You bought used coilovers hoping to save a buck, and you were wrong. You don't deserve any sympathy, you just deserve to get laughed at.

I got a hood that didn't fit. I was trying to save a buck. I'm idiot. Now I have to pay more to get one that does fit, which I should have done in the first place. It's not that hard to man up and accept responsibility for being stupid.

I got ripped for $1700 by a bad Ebay seller back in 2002. When I FINALLY got the motor (S14 SR) 6 months after I bought it, it was in a million pieces tossed into a cardboard box. Completely useless. He was in WA state, I'm here in VA.

Sucked. But you live and learn. Gotta watch those "good deals" and make sure it's really worth it. Hope this works out for you.

my grandfather taught me at an early age " you get what you pay for"
$350 for coilovers is a hell of a deal. even with you having to get them rebuilt your still saving a couple hundred dollars, plus u have the peice of mind that they are fresh and should last you a while. granted you should of been told they were blown. i would of been livid myself but look on the bright side paying $600> $1000 for coilovers....
