I really dugg the art style that SNK used for Capcom v SNK. Really nice, and sketchy.

The 3d Characters need to be less pretty. Ryu looks like too bloated. Ken looks too asian.

ah i don't know about this whole SF 4 deal. sure, the trailer looks great and all, but it's irrelavant as to how the actual gameplay goes. I was a fan of SF 2 (imo, the first turbo edition was perfect). SF 3, unfortunately to me was big letdown.

on the other hand, SF HD looks like it has awesome potential. same good gameplay, just with brushed up grpahics for the modern day player. I'm sold.

SF2 is sooooo repetitive compared to todays fighting games. Watch some top level SF players like Daigo play SF2 Sagat and it's all "Tiger, Tiger, Tiger" all round basically. Alpha 3 is still pimp. 3rd Strike too.

Yea those pics are slightly disappointing. But some games just don't photograph well. Metroid Prime 3 is a good example. The pics up until the game was released looked like shit. When it's in motion it's a whole different story. The game looks great.

I'll keep and open mind until I see some vids and see it in motion.

I'm still excited for the game. I know they said it's coming to PS3 and 360, but now seeing the graphics I really think it's something that can be done on Wii.

I also wish they would release it in the arcade's first. There's just something about playing SF in the arcade that's better then on the console.

We still have a really large one here in Milwaukee called Aladdin's Castle. At the peak of the arcades this was THE place to go deal out some punishment (or get dealth some). That or TimeOut. TimeOut isn't there anymore. :wtc:

Yes indeed...gameplay dynamics stay very close to the original, but looks a lot more realistic. kinda reminds me of the original SF2 in a way. Looks great!

i think the saving system is going to work out well.

The revenge meter fills up as you get hurt.
The power meter fills up as you dish damage.

You can feint-cancel moves, which i think is fucking amazing.

Gameplay looks awesome. I'll admit, I wasn't really hardcore into the fighting games, but they were fun nonetheless when I did play. The whole side-stepping action wasn't something I really liked, and I hope this stays in 2-D. So far, I'm liking it. Now when is Killer Instinct gonna return? Gold wasn't the greatest sequel, lol.

there was a HUGE event last night at the Museum Of Contemporary Arts for the pre-release party.

Bai Ling? was there. She looked like a stick bitch. A few cast members from the movie, TONS of arcades/consoles. PS3 and 360 were everywhere. They had a few 3rd Strike cabinets and ST2 Champion Editions, but they were frozen.

If you joined the Fighters tourney, if you won 15 fights in a row, you got a collectable 12" Chun Li statue. So sweet.

One dude beat one of the producers (total score of 24-0) of the game with Big Z. So amazing. haha.

The posters are amazing. Entire cast, Ryu throwing a fireball. I'll try to get pix up ttonight.

My buddy caught 2 collector coins, with Ryu on the face. So bad ass. didn't catch who won the game though.

the event started at 8pm, and ended at 12a.

Lines snaked like crazy. think Disneyland, but WAYYYYYYY worse.

My buddy preordered his a while back, with the arcade sticks. The reps told him it was backordered and he'd have to come backtomorrow.

He's hanging at the mall, and see's one of the dumbfucks brings a basket of SF4's from under teh counter, about 6 of them. What else? 6 arcade sticks behind the counter. He went back, asked what those were, and they said "Oh, these are special preorders. We can't give them to you."

He flips his lid, and no joke, looks like he's about to mangle the shit outta them. He calls the boss, mentions them hiding the games and not releasing them. Manager shows up few minutes later and sends a few workers packing it early. He got his game and stick, but has yet to let me borrow it. That dick.

This has happened a few times already.My buddy's friends had the same shit happen to them at different locations. GameStop = gayness.

You keep the pressure on with FA's and build up your meters. Your tried and true 'stay back, and throw out whimpy specials to build up my meter' won't work anymore.

When you FA, you "lose" hp, but its completely regainable solong as you don't get hit normally.

Kinda like MvC2, the swapped out character regained his life by sitting out.

As for the whole perfects thing, run easiest mode with 1 round settings. Pick Ryu....seems the first 4 characters cant dodge his hadoken at all and they just keep walking into them *teehee*

Oh and you can still rail Sagat all day long with a weak HDK *nohomo* he cant block/counter them

I figured it out last night, its something like charge down/back, then you go down-forward, down, down-back, then up-forward and a kick. Too much work for a shitty special imo.

I just use the special charges for the super sonic booms that hit twice/go through regular fireballs/etc.

I loved Guile in HD remix, but I think Blanka is gonna be my main guy in SF4.

I'd like to get good with Dhalsim, but doing his moves on the 360 pad is so annoying.
