you can always fill it with 1 inch steel square tubing and weld the shit out of it.

I would pick up another one, clean it up, rust-proof it and be on my way. Don't know about your area but around here you almost have to throw them away, no one seems to want extra sub frames.

Agreed. I've thrown out a dozen in the past year.

subframes are a dime a dozen
but cars here usually have an issue with frame rails rusting out, is that what you mean???

Plus shipping. They're cheap to get, not too cheap to send across Country. $64 Coast to Coast UPS Ground.

Wow honestly that shipping doesnt sound too bad. It must suck to live in snowy areas with all that salt on the groud. Thats why I love Cali. most cars outhere dont really get like that unless its a super old car by the beach or something

Wow, so many subframes just thrown away. Here in the great north, you pay $100 for a rusty non-hicas subframe. I'm wanting to redo my subrame and suspension, but want something clean to start out with. I really need to take a trip down to socal and pick up a bunch of shit, maybe a shell while im at it. :D

I would say welding should be a last resort and should be done by a professional. You could easily distort the frame if you don't know what you are doing.

:werd: especially when you can find others for sale or at the junkyard

shouldnt even be close to $500 for a clean up and powdercoat.

I take them in to metal recycler, not the dump. Figure make $5 off one is better than anything.

yeah, mines in overall good condition, just has one spot thats starting to cave in. Whenever it gets put on a lift, ill just cut out old metal and weld in another piece, and bedliner the underside of car.

Prolly cheaper just to get another one
