Sr20det mods

What kind of mods would you have done to a sr20det before it is installed that would be hard to do once its is installed?

Well anything internally really. Headwork can be done with the engine in the car but is easier with it out of course. Personally I would just slap in a performance head gasket before putting the engine into the car. You may also want to replace the seals on the engine before dropping it into the car. Maybe pull off the oil pan and clean it out.

But as for mods there really isn't too much you need to do unless you want to open it up and replace the pistons/rods/bearings. You may want to open up the engine and polish it, give it a good cleaning from top to bottom or maybe powdercoat the block it's up to you.

Edit:  Oh something you'll definitely want to do also BEFORE the engine goes in is install a performance clutch!
