If u own a 98 blacktop none type x whats your ECU code? (example 62.E5)
does any of u have a 62? did it come with a 62?

yes thats it , why im asking this ?? cause the motor i bought a "98" came with a 62 ECU, and im having some issues with a power fc (another story) . this list right here doesnt show a 98 coming with 62 ECU . 62 came with 91-94. thats all
just want to make sure i am dealing with the right ECU for that motor.

If its a really a 98 it should be a J4 ECU.

did your motor run with the 62 ECU? if it did then you need to check if your powerFC is for J4 180 typeX then you need to re-pin your harness for E5 to J4
and your powerFC should work.

BTW: red top / black top s13 E5 & 62 ECU's are interchangable don't matter what year. only 180 TYPE X is different.
