Is the rear lower control arm ball joint available without having to buy the whole arm on the s13? I've looked on line and can only find it with the complete lower control arm. A little on the expensive side just to replace a torn boot.:(
Thanks...

You can use B13(91-94 Sentra) front ball joints. They are 1mm larger but will fit.

I think they are available from the stealership as just the joints, but they are $100 each as I remember.

You're wrong. Entire Aarm only, the ball joint is NOT available separately.
k's_silvia2.0- How does the rear Aarm affect steering? I'm dying to hear this one.

I think they are all the same.
If you look at the moog ball joints the 1.6L and 2.0L have the same part number.

There are the same for both front B13 1.6 and 2.0 (SE-R) and for that matter the front B14 1.6 and 2.0.

Ball joints can be purchased seperately aftermarket wise. Several brands to chose from as well.

Thanks for the reply guys. I guess you guys answered my question. The ball joint can be replaced, thats good. I guess the next question would be how to remove them ball joints from the A-arm. Do I need to go out and buy a 10 ton press?? :)

harbor freight makes two DIY kits
you'll have to do some legwork to see if the press/receiving tubes are the right size for the balljoint
its far easier to take it to a shop and get it pressed

A nice 2jaw puller will press a ball joint out if used properly, just keep it lined up as you tighten. You can also cut the ball joint in half with a cutoff wheel/grinder, eliminating the rotating portion, and knock it out with a hammer really easily.
This is of course after you remove the snap ring.
autozone has a c-press which is really easy to use if you have an impact.

yes, my favorite toy, rented from the zone for free!

a company called hardrace makes aftermarket balljoints but they're really expensive, and i believe a company called moog makes them too, so if you have the extra cash and don't like crappy autozone/duralast parts, there are other alternatives.
