Jack up the front of the car and take off the wheel try turning the rotor by hand and see if the noise continues? If so then try to follow the noise.

You just change the rotor then. But if your going to do that then you might as well change the brake pads also.

It's cheap just go to pepboys or whatever store you can find that sells the cheap china knockoff ones. The rotors that is.

Then buy hawk pads.

Its prob a wheel bearing, make sure everything is tight after you jack it up. make sure the brake pad clips are not rubbing the rotor. You can turn the wheel by hand and see if anything acts funny. More than likely its a bad bearing.

Most likely it is the bearing like ^^^ said. Who knows unless you see it in person.

When one goes the other one follows suit too.

one way to check the wheel bearing is checking the play. jack up the front of the car, or the area where you suspect the problem is occurring. once the tire(s) are off the ground;

use one hand and hold the top of the tire, use your other hand and hole the bottom of the tyre. now wiggle back and fourth. if the wheel moves, there is def. something wrong with the wheel bearing.... (or your lug nuts aren't tight enough).

do the same thing but for the sides. one hand on the left side, other on the right, then wiggle back and fourth... (if its the front the wheel may move, so its best to the wheel locked)

you can also try bleeding the brakes? well hope that helps and hopefully you figure out where the noise is comming from.

the brake pads should have a wear indicators that squeals when they're low. they often quiet down when you apply the brakes. it could be as simple as new brake pads.

i second the Hawk comment. they're excellent pads and not too expensive.
