video says they want to offer a solar package. THEY FUCKING BETTER! only 245-250ish miles per charge? i would have to make @ least 3 pitstops just to visit the folks @ christmas. according to the website a dead battery will require 3.5 hours to fully charge but since the battery doesnt have a "memory" i can add a charge where ever i have access to power(and i can honestly say im no gonna stop for shit unless its DEAD). Because, like alot of people if I'm on the road i want to stay there till i get to where im going i dont feel like spending 12+ hours sitting around. So i'll say this, slap some solar panels on the bitch make it the same price as a yaris and ill buy two. until then, these tesla fuckers are going to be as broke as the drooling tard that bags my groceries

It's based off of a Lotus Elise chassis.

Dude.
I'm not trying to be an ass... but for a guy who tosses dough, you're sure being harsh on the grocery baggers...
I mean, Safeway employees around my area can make $11/hr, get basic medical and shares in the company.
Pretty damn good for what's often considered a "high school kid" job.
Unless you own that restaurant, I'm betting it'll be a while til you have a shiny 90k electric car of your very own :p

Real electric cars that can compete with their old skool combustion counterparts are a ways out still.
Like it for what it is; an evolutionary step forward that looks amazing, is more performance oriented than previous production ideas, and will be something to give people ideas about the future (kids growning up, engineers looking for inspiration, designers looking to borrow ideas, et all)... or maybe that Yaris you were talkin about would be a good intermediary step :p (just playin)
