alright... i'm picking up this 240 for a couple hundred bucks... its rust free, but there is 1 dent on the rear 1/4(seen in picture)... does anyone know where i could possibly buy a panel to fix it(as in cut out dented area and re-weld a new one in)

here is the dent... i dont want to do a body kit although it would cover it up... but any help would be great, i know how to do all the work, and have before, but cannot seem to find patch panels on the net anywhere

They're not available unless you buy the entire quarter panel, or cut them from a salvage car. We're not lucky enough to have achieved muscle car status and have replacement floorboards and header panels readily available for cheap.

where can i find the rear 1/4 panel and how bad do they rip you off for them... i live in south dakota... so its extremely hard to find a 240 that is rust free(junkyard wise) so i dont know where i would be able to find that section... i dont want to pound it out and mudd it up... but i guess if it'll save me 400 bucks or so

Man if I thought I could get anywhere near $400 for the pair I just junked I woulda sold em in a heartbeat. They were dent free with just a hint of cancer at the bottom. Nothing a little home made patch wouldn't cure. But, they're gone, melted down and on their way to being something different. If I get another donor I'll keep ya in mind.

Cutting one off a car and buying a new one are completely different. Unless you know exactly what you're doing, IE: drill out all the spotwelds, break all the seams, and cut it past all the OE points, a cut panel off a car is useless to most people. That being said a small portion, enough to patch a lower area, is fine.
An OE panel comes just the outer sheetmetal, ready to spotweld in. I've sold plenty of cuts to people, but I give them a good several inches more than they need and they probably end up butchering both parts to get it on and spend way more time filling than they would have with a new piece. An OE panel is the way to go to do it right. Retail on an S14 panel is about $560, don't know about S13.
