Please somebody answer before I leave for the auto grave yard in the morning.:) Im doing the Z32 brake conversion. Im going to the local junk yard in the morning to get the e-brake cables off a 1990 NA 300zx. I did a search and did not find the info I needed. Which z32 e-brake cables are needed? The ones off a 2 seater or the 2+2? The one I have access to is a 2 seater 300zx. I read one post from a vender that you need the ones off a 2+2, not sure if thats is true or not. Which car is the correct one, 2 seater or 2+2? Or does it matter??
Thanks guys...

2+2 require less work if you dont have a compression fitting crimper, basically they are suppost to reach the turn buckle, but still the mounting needs modification to secure it to under the tunnel.

2 seaters are just shorter and would require some extension to the lines but if you use part of your stock lines (from the turn buckle on back) then the mounting to the tunnel can remain just like stock. but you need to crimp the cables together.

Its the "T" handle thing-a-ma-jig that the ebrake cables connect to right off of the hand brake underneith in the tunnel.

Here is some more info you may find useful:

UNISA JECS, Thanks a ALOT for the links, they helped out alot!! One more question if you dont mind. Is the 300zx e-brake cable 1 peice? If not, do I remove and take everything from the e-brake handle (Cable part.) all the way back to the caliper? Just want to make sure I grab all that I need. I stated the junk yard was local, but its really about 50 miles away and I want to make just one trip...
Thanks again for ALL your help....

You just unhook it from the turnbuckle "T" you'll figure it out when your underneith, then you need to remove the rear calipers, then the rear rotors, then disassembly the ebrake brake shoes from the backing plate adn one of the shoes directly connects to the ebrake cables disconnect there, then in back of the backing plate undo the 12mm nut and also undo the 10mm nut securing the cable to teh sub-frame and also 2 12mm nuts that secure each of the cables to the tunnel x 2.

UNISA JECS, I come to you again for more help...Picked up my lines today. Got a good deal on them. $24.00. I bought a set of remanufactured Z32 front brake calipers. Where can I buy the brake pad shim kits for the pads? Looks to be about 6 shims per caliper also need the Pad Retainers. I guess I'll also need the "Special Shim" thats what they call them in the diagram I have. It goes on the caliper mounting bolts.
Thanks....
Here is the diagram I was looking at:

either one will work. im using the 2 seater deals.
ran them through the subframe and used two angle pieces to adapt to the holes where the 240 cables bolted into.

2+2 cables are for the lazy

extensions are for idiots. f'n cable clamps and shit
