I had all my seats out today for a good cleaning, and the thought of leather popped into my head. Then I realized I could maybe put stock LS seats into my car. Would this work? And where could I get them, I know the dealership, but they will charge me like 1000 bucks probably. And I could get Sparcos for that much.

LE, and yes, all 240sx seats are interchangeable save the backseat. s14 seats seem to be a high demand item, I don't think you'll find them cheap.

what do you mean save the backseats? like, dont get leather ones, or do get leather ones and dont throw the old ones out.
im gonna keep all four stock seats, or sell them if I do go with leather.

Replace "save" with "except".
What he is saying is that all the 240sx front seats are interchangable, the back seats are only interchangable (in the direct bolt-in way) within chassis models (s13 seats will only fit with s13's, s14's with s14's).

Yeah - s14 seats ARE that much better. Personally, I think the s14 seats are some of the better seats out there. They are generally firm and supportive (esp. from the 95 SE w/ lumbar ). And if you think yours hurt your ass, you should sit in mine that have had 2/3 of the foam removed from the seat bottom to make them sit lower.
IIRC, the going price of cloth s14 seats is about $300 for the pair. Slightly more or less depending on condition and lumbar. I'm sure s14 LE seats would be even more used - if you can find them. And mega $$$ from the dealer. And then there's that whole thing about if you are getting leather front seats, nothing will match.
Mark, who likes cloth seats b/c they're grippier

If you want stock leather seats, I suggest looking for them from a 95-96 rather than 97+, cuz the 97+ seats don't have adjustable lumbar support.

The seats will fit into your car, but I prefer the cloth seats. The leather seats won't hold you that well when your making those sharp turns, you'll be slippin' and slidin'

It's illegal to use leather seats in a non-leather car... Sorry man, you'll get arrested. =)
anyway. . yeah. .same thing. .haha. . And, nah I don't slide around during cornering with my leather seats... I just worry about them cracking all the time. =) I'm fuckin fat tho, so. . . I don't really have much room to move. . I WEAR the s14... I don't sit in it. haha. . nah actually, when I really wanna drive hard... I lean back far in the seat. .tighten the seat belt. .and YANK it hard to lock it. . works for hard left turns... for hard right turns, I plant my food hard on the dead pedal.. you won't go anywhere.
