JWT Raised limit is 7850.

Bump for a GREAT ECU.

lol...im serious.... sr20 motors are so bad at revving with a stock head....i would lower my rev limit if anything to 7000 :)
Its a "head of glass"

that the 1st i have ever head sr20 have head of glass

pretty sure they are glorified for their rev capabilities.

How about a b-series is glorified for its rev capabilities.

That was not the case with my poor blacktop. Overreved to 8500.... and there goes everything in head, crunch crunch crunch. all rocker arms, cams cracked/destroyed, two valves dropped.

I had rev limit at 7500.. I overrevved mechanically.

So 7850rpms is probably fine and tolerable, especially w/ RAS...

What cc rating is 50# injectors btw?

Is this a good price or what? I paid w/shipping 900.00 for every thing new 3 months ago. LMK.

precisely what im talking about....rockers arms going flying or breaking if u have ras...dropping valves etc.... kinda a common thing on over reving sr's ....i could only glorify the s2000 and rotary engines rev capabilities :)

another bump lol....gl with sale...some1 will scoop it up

7850 is NOT (I reapeat NOT) dangerous on stock valvetrain SR20's. No way, no how, no harm.

JWT has by far, the most SR experience in the United States (if not the world) and if they're setting that (or allowing that) as a safe rev limit for every SR20, then by all means it is. (Well, aside from Roller Rocker FWD cars, and FWD VVL cars)

In my experience (both FWD and RWD), I've never even seen a regular running SR20 throw rockers. Only when someone misshafts, and the engine mechanically over revs, does an SR20 throw rockers (or if an HLA dies). Even then, not everytime do rockers go sailing with an over rev. I have seen some rare occurances (online only) where EXTREME 2 step launches have thrown rockers too, but whats that, 1 in a few thousands?

FWIW: Bouncing off a rev limiter does not throw them either.

I know many MANY FWD and RWD guys who race their cars (both HPDE and with SCCA/NASA) and not one has thrown a rocker unless they've mechanically missed a gear either...

again, BUMP for a great product and a great ECU!!!

lol..... not to knock JWt cuz theyre great but scott avoy's (enthalpy) tunes blow JWT's outta the water..... I think scott has more SR experience

You are a retard then. Peak HP fanboys like you are what kills the industry. Look at my dyno, and then be hushed.

Power aside, NO ONE does more SR research in this country than JWT. Again, I'd be willing to bet that JWT would also be one of the biggest or the number one place in the world for SR development.

Please, get off the internet, meet people involved with the industry, and come back. I'm not dissing Enthalpy, nor anyone associated with that Tuning Dynamic (as they are much smarter than I in regards to all things SR20), but to compare them to a shop that damn near STARTED the Nissan ROM tune development, develops race parts, builds spec series race engines and unlimited series race engines, runs and creates the best SR cams out there, flywheels, ECU's, and etc etc (for not only SR20, but many other Nissan engines) to a Extremely Intelligent Tuner and Engine builder...well come on now.

(Again, not bashing Scott and his friends, but I think they know where I'm coming from)

I've read through your posts, and can already tell what sort of forum member you are. Please leave this poor mans thread alone, and please stop posting information you know nothing about.

Bump again....

A customer wanted to see what gains i could offer over JWT. So we did a comparison.

The JWT ECU was programmed for 72# injectors, Cobra MAF, t3/t4 turbo, 93 octane.

Enthalpy ECU was programmed for 72# injectors, Z32 MAF, t3/t4 turbo, 93 octane.

Boost was identical on both runs (18-19 psi) and ther was no way i could go more due to a soft wastegate spring (7psi) and a maxxed out Profec B Spec 1.

Hrrrmmmm... very interesting http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/tamparacing/smiles/smile.gif 42 Hp and at some points 30+ ft-lbs with just and ECU change! The only complaint my customer has now is...how is he going to sell that JWT!

see how much smoother scotts is too? not just peak numbers...

The oldest comparison in the book
.

.

see how much smoother scotts is too? not just peak numbers...

Grasshopper, you have much to learn.

1. That is a specifically tuned car. Obviously on a dyno with time, it will make more hp. Nice try, but nope.

2. Whats to say that JWT won't make more power with a retune and or datalogged information? They always except datalogged runs and offer retunes from them. Nice try again, but nope.

3. I'll bring out my dyno sheet again. FWIW: This was a mail in tune, no datalog, no nothing. Clark made this up my modifying the Nismo 615cc program

http://www.e-rak.com/cody/albums/Dynos/uncorrected.jpg

Smaller turbo, same boost, more HP, more torque, same gas.

Are you going to continue?

Oh man, I will for you.

Here's a nice little 28RS Sentra @ 18 +/- 1 psi. Stock IM (low port yuck) to boot :/

http://www.e-rak.com/cody/albums/Dynos/raydyno.sized.jpg

Yes it falls off uptop (combo of turbo and manifold) but this little bugger is near UNTOUCHABLE on track. Transient reponse like mad, incredible surge into power as well. Oh man, over 28k miles ON THIS SETUP, and more than 25 HPDE days as well. I guess a JWT tuned car just isn't that good.

Again, please quit arguing. You're not proving anything other than your ignorance about the subject.
