Whats up everyone? I used to be a vendor on here (under the name boney) and had an s13 w/ redtop sr that i swapped in myself.. I spent months working out kinks and little issues. I blew a piston ring 5000 miles later and ended up parting it out. I just bought an s14 with an s13 blacktop sr.

I dont want to blow this one up so I'm looking for some advice on common problems and maintenance for the sr. I know a good bit about the motor but theres always new things to learn.

This sucks no one is willing to help. I would like to know about the common problems and maintenance on the SR too.

all i can really tell you is always keep your oil full and changed.. dont put more than 3 1/2 quarts into a stock oil pan sr, always have good plugs in there that get changed frequently.. fix any leaks you have right away.. have an oil pressure gauge, use premium gas.. things are going to happen just like any other car. got to be prepared.

No one's willing to help because you are talking about basic stuff that can be found using the search function. That's the point of the search. You don't search, find the info, and then make a thread asking questions about the stuff you read about.
