Ok, well I was thinking of buying the aura bass shakers that are 50watts a piece.  Well right now I have two 12"s in a box.  I know its really weighing down the car down. So I wanted to downsize and I was thinking that the bass shakers would be perfect since their size doesn't compare to what i have in the car now.  But one thing I was wondering do the aura bass shakers actually produce good quality bass.  So if anyone has these please reply on the board our opinion. thanks

As far as I know with my stereo expertise <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> Bass engines only produce low radiation with minimal bass. &nbsp; To tell you the truth, I have a rockford fogate punch power dvc hooked up to a 600 watt Alpine V12 and it POUNDS! &nbsp; You dont need 2 12's for the inside of a 240, maybe of you had a truck or something. &nbsp;Hope this helps

The bass shakers are not bass speakers...they are a sealed unit that looks like a small UFO. &nbsp; So they will not provide bass sound but they will provide an awesome bass shake.

you mount bass shakers under your seats, and they shake your ass, but provide no sound. just stick with the 12's, or downsize to some 8's if you really must.

i have had a lot of experiance with bass shakers...just wait until you feel the accurate responses until you judge them.....they are incredible....but get annoying after a while.......i have heard a systems that had two "ATOMIC" bass shakers and one 10inch SAS bazooka tube and it sounded very very very very nice........

Oh well if it weighs down your rear end, grab some stiffer springs. Nothing beats the sound of twelve inch woofers, although one good one (try Blackmore Mobile Audio (probably weighs more than your two combined though)) should do it. Hey that weight in the back makes for good winter traction. I've also seen guys mount their subs in the rear side-panels of their 240's (where the doors would be if it were a 4-door) with some sort of custom box built in, might try that if you need trunk space. That's all, keep it bumpin though.

Keep it bumpin'? You need to get bumped on the skull for bringing a thread from 2002 back up. :rl: :lockd: :rl:
