this turbo is 6 months old, it has the divided exhaust housing, double blade compressor fin, etc.

the problem...

this turbo has sucked up part of an intake coupler due to not tightening the coupler properly :-/ i had bought a new turbo to replace it and i decided to check shaft play, the shaft play between this turbo and the new one are absolutely 100% identical, the center cartridge is completely fine. this turbo needs a new compressor blade and a balancing. i've gotten quotes to do this that range from 200-300$, the only problem is i just don't have time to deal with it i had to have this car running asap. also one of the bolt holes is stripped on the exhaust housing, any machine shop can fix this without any problem.

blade reference to new turbo

this turbo is practically mint minus the compressor blades and the bolt hole but i understand its not exactly worth gold anymore. wastegate still works 100%, etc.

i'd like to start by asking $200 OBO
just lmk if there's any interest i'd be willing to work a deal on this turbo

May I ask where you got the quote for the rebuild. I have an RB25 turbo looking to get the ceramic wheel replaced and almost all of them I called will not even touch any Ball Bearing type turbos. Thanks! Bump TTT....

i've just been asking local people and shops. have you tried precision turbo or majestic turbo by chance? the deal is, all ballbearing turbos have to be assembled around the center cartridge. if you make it very clear to them that their not to touch the center cartridge then they will do a wheel swap and just rebalance it.

Send me a pic of the turbine housing as well as the center section serial plate to verify which of the S15 turbos it is. Once it is what I am looking for I will take it for $200 shipped to 33122.

umm just for your info. A garret turbo ball bearing center section is not rebuildable in any way. It will cost more to buy a complete center section than a complete turbo. In adition. The turbo can have the blades swapped if the center section is not damaged. The only problem is that it will eliminate the warranty with garret and there is only like 4 vsr balancers in the world that can balance a complete center section correctly.

Just for a heads up peeps.

thats why i've been preaching, the center section is fine the play is so minimal. its exactly the same amount of play as the NEW gt28r sitting next to it. the play was so minimal that even as rough as that compressor blade looks the housing was 100% untouched.

i wanted it stew. By the way guys, it's actually cheaper than $300 to fix the compressor so stew was over compensating. Just found out from my shop it was a less than $200 fix. Good deal!

Well the payment was delivered so let me know when you get a tracking number. I also have a damaged S15 turbo with both wheels in excellent condition. Is it a simple process of changing the compressor wheel?
