What's up everyone. I'm new on here and Im just looking for some ideas, advice about my build. I have an 89 pignose with:

Finned RedTop Stock Turbo
Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
Koyo Aluminum Radiator
Samco Radiator Hoses
Nismo Motor Mounts
Greddy/Trust Rocker Arm Stoppers
Greddy M-Spec Intercooler Kit
Greddy Type=RS BOV
TurboXS Manual Boost Controler
FR Sport Hotpipe
Fidanza Lightweight Flywheel
Exedy Stage 1 Clutch
Circuit Sports O2 Elimination Downpipe
Test Pipe
Circuit Sports Catback Exhaust (dual tip sleeper look)
Stance GR+ Coilovers
XLine 60mm Boost Gauge

Future Plans:

Suspension Arms/Camber etc
Sway Bars/Strut Tower Bars
Brake Upgrade (R33/Z32)
Stand Alone EMS
Ugraded Turbo
Injectors/Fuel Rail etc

My ultimate goal for the car is about 300-350whp. Im not looking to go nuts. I just want a fun daily driver that I can drift and go touge on the weekends. Visually I want it to be a subtley agressive sleeper. Now as much as we all like (well some of us) the JDM stuff, do you think, for example, it would be worth it to save for Tomei IN/EXH Cams versus getting a set from Brian Crower?. Should I upgrade the turbo first or should I rebuild the head ie bc cams, valve springs, retainers etc.. etc? AEM EMS or APEXI Power FC? Basically what have you guys done? Has it worked for you? This is question is for everyone from the guys with baller parts to the backyard mad scientists. Also, I know this comes down to personal taste but what do you guys think about the S13 Silvia K's Aero Bumper on a hatch? Body kits in general?... put in your .02. It would be greatly appreciated.

Im here to learn so good advice would be great.

Thanks..

If you upgrade turbo and start pushing more power, depending on your turbo you will have to do fuel upgrades (injectors, FPR, rail, etc), when that happens it'll be management followed right after. Again, this depends on your turbo choice.

No point doing the head work, unless you have a turbo that capable of flowing higher into the rpm ranges. Now you may be thinking how about a Greddy intake manifold. And pretty much the same principal will apply. Not enough flow uptop unless you have a decent turbo.

With the head out might as well do headgasket/ARP studs as well. Also your exedy stage 1 clutch might not be good for more then 250lbs of torque. So another limitation there.

Cool deal bro thanks for the .02. I was thinking about either and S15 R-Spec BB Turbo or a Garrett GT2871R .64 AR., Tomei Expreme EX Mani, Greddy Plenum, set of 555cc injectors, HKS Fuel rail kit, Nismo FPR, Cams/Sprockets.. what am i missing?

stiffer valve springs and new valves are always a nice little addition to a cam with higher lift and duration.

If ya wanna go baller style and hit those high RPMS.. TOMEI SOLID LIFTERS!

Up grade your the rest of your suspension and brakes before moving on to more power than you already have.

I am somewhat old school when it comes to building a car. Suspension/Brakes, Power/Differential, Exterior/Interior. I am not going to rip on anyone who decides to go a different route by choosing to up grade the wheels/tires and a few little things to give the appearance of some change.

Heck...I just installed a oem trunk lock into my car. Concidering the fact that the car never had a trunk lock when I got it it is a small change that helps me a long the way.

Anyway...enough about my car. Seriously at the very least up grade your brake system so that you can adequately stop your car when needed.

Yeah, I agree with Rayne... get the suspension/brake goodies, learn to drive it like it is, then ease the power in. Not saying you don't know how to drive, but I would personally want to be used to the handling of the car before I decided to feed it 300+ hp...

And as far as bodywork goes... pignose forever. ftw.

Cool deal. That's a good idea. Would not be a good idea to wreck because I can't stop the car. I guess I'm already used to the power and the go fast bug is tearing into me something fierce. Stocker wheels and brake setup should go. Thanks for the advice and thanks for not pokin' at a new builder.

yeah thats actually really sound advice. a well balanced car will really do wonders in any driving situation. you're cars power plant has some decent mods to it now, and if you dont boost the snot out of that t25, it should last awhile.

right now im kind of going back and forth on weather or not to do some engine work over this winter or to focus on the chassis a little bit more....im leaning more towards doing some more suspension and brake work, help even out the rest of the cars handling...
