Tonight was outta control- FOR ANYBODY TRYING TO GO LOOK AT THIS CAR, BE CAREFUL.

First of all, the guy, Jerry is a liar. the shiny white paint is a spray can job, the AC does not work along with the whole interior, with a odo that reads 149,XXX miles. Absolutely does NOT run like new, it has a fatty miss and some cut springs.

But ON TOP of that, the guy jerry- who is 65 years old- had told me we were going to meet at the jack in the box right off Nordoff off the 405, then after waiting for a cool hour, he calls me to tell me that its just down the street by autozone. So i drive over there and see 2 older guys (AT LEAST 60 years old) come out of nowhere and start telling me how great the car is. they say its theres but know NOTHING about it. shortly after i get there a guy in a rx-7 pulls up, a younger, thick lookin dude gets out and starts talking to these 2 older guys like they go to school together. i take the car for a drive where the tranny grinds in and out of gears, the miss is givin me a backache and the old guy is trying to say how cheap it is to fix all that. we get back and i tell them im going to pass it up and a 300zx pulls in the parking lot with 2 guys in there (mind you, there are 0 other cars in this whole parking lot and this guy had told me that there was NOBODY else coming to look at the car tonight) and park next to the still running rx-7. thats when shit got wierd- the old guy comes up to my car, leans on it and starts telling me i should really get out and look at the fucked up spark plug wire that was causing the miss. like 3 times. these guys were on something, literally, they were trippin balls talking to me the whole time. i have NO doubt in my mind that me and my buddy were going to get into it with however many other young guys they called and be out 1600 bucks and some front teeth.

It was the sketchiest situation i have EVER been in, and if you decide to go, roll deep- hell, ill go with you. fuck these guys up

My brother foiled a car jacking and robbery. A guy was selling his car agreed to meet a guy at an auto zone in Cypress. He meet the guy and they went for a test drive. The guy drove the car around the corner and stopped. Two guys jumped out of the bushes, and all three of them started to beat the crap out of the guy. They took his wallet, jewelry, and cell phone. They split when my brother yelled at them and started coming to the guys aid. The cops came and the guy was taken away in ambulance. The cops used gps to locate the phone and the crooks. So, watch out buying or selling.

Actually, it was because he was before and still is respected enough to have been asked to be a moderator here. Now I will relate a new story I experienced today. Last week when I pulled into a in and out in Pomona I saw a car I have wanted for a long time ( or so I thought it was). It appeared to be a 92 Silver blue LE no sunroof. A rare find indeed. A first year college kid was driving and he parked it after seeing my car also a 92 Silver blue SE but has a sunroof. He got out and I asked him if he wanted to sell it and he said in fact, Ya I was thinking of selling it. It was an Automatic. He wanted to go eat so he took my phone number and said he would call me later that evening. No phone that evening so I was like ok whatever.

The next morning I got a phone from his mom.It turns out its actually her car. He drives it back and forth to Cal Poly from Montclair. First thing she said was its a 93 and it has a blue book value of 4750 but she will take $3500 lol. Well me knowing that Nissan did not make any SE or LE no sunroof chassis's in 93 said that can't be and asked her when she purchased it. She goes I purchased it in January of 93 it was a dealer demo, at which point I responded its a 92 and having my computer right there looked up the KBB and quoted it to her. High for 92 automatic was 2800 good was 2500 and fair was 2k. I said I would give her 2k and she said I will take 2500. At which point I was like ok, I will have to think about this and call you tonite.
I called her that night and she went right to when do you want to see the car. Then she got a call and asked if she could call me back. Anyways we got back in touch with each other and she mentioned it had a $500 stereo she had given her son for his birthday at which point I said oh you can keep that.

Again a couple of more back and forths on when to come see the car and we set up a meeting for today. I took cash and was excited. I got to Montclair with my friend and she showed us the car. This is where it got strange. First she was very up on telling me all the good stuff about the car and how she had done all this matinence blah blah.

First thing I notice is the CEL is on. I tell her that I cannot get it smogged with it on. She goes on no its ok I get it smogged all the time that light is always on its just electronic switchs. LOL. Then I take the car and park it to inspect it. Mind you this car looks nice and clean. Eh looks can be misleading. The frame rails look like someone has been driving this thing over boulders and there is a hole punched in the side of one of them.

Then I go to the underhood. I notice the core support has minor damage on the driverside. Mind you she had told me this car had never been in an accident. LOL. I point this out and she all of sudden goes oh ya 8 years ago my sister was driving the car and it got into a little thing. the paint on the underhood looks redone. So I ask her about the title (god only knows why I did not ask this sooner),this is usually the first thing out of my mouth. So she breaks out the papar work and l look at it and not only is it a Salvage title but its a 89! At which point I point this out to here. I tell her your car was wrecked and rebuilt and she is like no its a dealer demo,they titled it to 89 to save me on tax's. Its getting hilarous now and bizarre at the same time. I tell her thats against the law and they could not do that. Remember she told me originally it was a 93. :rofl: It does have all the parts of a 92 but the door tag says 3/89 and I look under the hood and the manufacturer plate is missing! The serial number is right there though stamped in the sheet metal HS36 I point that out to her and explain.
At which point I tell her I am no longer interested in the car and go to leave. As my friend and I are getting ready to drive away she comes up to the window and asks me what would you pay for the car to take it today. LOL oldest salesmen line in the book. I tell I would give you $700 cash. She acknowledges it and basically does not say anything more. We drive away. By far one of the strangest car buying experiences I have had.
