I know a guy I got through a reference he does a great and very clean job but its more expensive then most places. I feel that you get what you pay for. I got a Kouki also and he charges a lil more then the S13's cause he has to mod more to it. If you want to see hes work under my hood just email me.

I will be getting my ka-t done over at corner3gargae. I like their honesty, outstanding attention to detail, and their friendly atmosphere. Need I say more?

I would suggest going S14 SR over the RB20.
Simply due to the fact that parts are easier to find and more available.

thats a big price difference, i would think you have a tough deciding rb25 and s14 sr
i would get s13 sr and some upgrade which will similarly cost the same yet this setup will put out more hp

If the car is an s14 I would go s14sr but it's a matter of preference.

I've heard good stories and bad stories about almost every shop in socal... even RnD and my buddy Spence, lol...
... except Marco at sr20store... I only hear good things.

Yup yup. I already talked to Marco about swapping a built motor with CP pistons, eagle rods and my apex 1.1mm headgasket. The motor will have a new water pump, new oil pump, new seals, new freeze plugs and a new clutch. It will look brand new and he's going to hook it up with a good price. Once the 14 is sold, of course!

rb20 in a kouki s14? why go with such an old motor in such a new chassis? At least get an rb25. Well, it's your car and if you're happy with it...

Yeah, RB20s are kinda too old to go into a kouki. RB20s should only go in an S13, maybe. Parts are hard to come by and it's old, lol.

pay the extra 1500 for rb25

lol man are rb25 more reliable than 20s? and my goal is only for around 300rwhp. The only reason i tempted to go rb25 because its newer, parts are easier to find, and probably i can sell my car for more later on. But do you guys really think its worth it for a rb25? sorry for the noob questions i just want to know more before i let them drop the motor in.

Yes. More power, less need for parts to reach your 300 hp goal. And well, more parts availability.

So you're gonna go through all the trouble of installing an rb25 for only 300whp? Not worth it. You can do that with an sr all day long. I made 341whp on my s14sr20det. If you're gonna go rb go big or don't go at all. And by big I mean 400-500whp

I would definitely go with spencer. I met him at the store a long time ago and hes a really nice guy and has best feedback! RB25!

rb25 dude its worth it

Spencer and Drift Ready FTW!! Go for the rb20 if your low on cash and have only have a 300hp goal. But If I were you I'd get the rb25 just cause making 300hp on that motor is easy and reliable.

^Speaks the troof. I'm dropping off my 13 at Marco's next week. His motors are the cleanest I've seen. He's gonna install new seals, gaskets, oil pump, water pump, clutch and install all the goodies (FMIC, boost gauge, fuel pump, bov, turbo elbow, motor mounts and nismo power brace) all included in the price of the swap!
