taillight tint

what could be used to remove vht taillight tint? i tried nail polish remover, and alchohol. i was thinking maybe paint remover? but i'm not to sure. i just got to remove a few spots. so any suggestions would be helpful!

sand paper maybe, like fine grit?

paint thinner definitely works just make sure you use only what you need to remove the tint. best recommendation would be to apply it lightly and rub slowly at first to get the hang of it. if youre ever tinting taillights again, use vinyl film. otherwise buy new tails :-P
