ok so ive been tryin to get the rear hubs off my s13 and after searching i found a couple of different ways for seperating them from the upright. so i have all 4 rear bolts and the 36mm nut off and i put the wheel back on and push on the inside of the wheel. now the hub is seperated but it wont come off. its seperated about 1/4" and it feels like it wont budge. any suggestions?
thanks

I have never had a problem bub. Try taking the wheel off and a rubber mallet and some PB blast. Usually they pretty much plop out.

pb blaster ftw, I always get a friend at a machine shop to press it out, those things tend to be stuck in there for the long haul, unless you have a Z32, those always fall right out for me, but then again, the uprights are alum. and we all know aluminum is softer than steel.

screw in two of the four bolts in, but not all the way. Take a hammer or mallet and pound on the bolt heads. Of course use PB blast to further loosen the two parts. GL!

Or you could just go to Kragen and get a hub puller? I've never had this problem before.

well its seperated from the upright but not all the way. it feels like its hitting something maybe? i can see the inside of the hub where it inserts into the upright ( if that makes any sense). but it just wont come out.

Its not hitting anything. Basically the hub is pressed on from the factory to the knuckle. If you access to it, do like jdmspooge said. This will prevent damage to the studs. Except if you can, I would put all 4 nuts on enough to flush out the stud with the nut. Tap that shit on each side trying to equalize the force. If you have only 2 trying to tap it out, it will be cockeyed. Just have patience and keep working at it. If all else fails, remove the knuckle and take it out using a press machine; as a last resort.

okay you took off the axle nut off and the four 19mm bolts did you also remove a big nut thats on the upright if you and it dosen't come off heres what you do you remove the traction arm bolt off and the camber and the rear lower control arm then you can see there rear of the hub you get some wd-40 and a hammer you spray the rear of the hub till it soaked then wait five min. then get you hammer and hit the rear off the hub till it comes off. that should work just fine i did the same thing when i did may brake swap. hope this helps.
