Hi, I've seen some talk about modifying the Energy Suspension Z32 subframe bushings to fit the S13 subframe. Does anyone know exactly what modification needs to be done? I saw this thread http://forums2.freshalloy.com/showthread.php?t=145650&highlight=z32+subframe+bushings which helped a little but the instructions are quite vague. Before I lost my OE bushings I noticed the rear metal inserts were longer than the front leading me to believe 69mm is not correct for all four bushings. Also he does not say exactly how much had to be cut off elsewhere. Does anyone know the exact modifications that must be made? Thanks.

Just buy the spl solid ones they're only like $130 and the tilt spacers (if u want them) are like $50.

You will need to burn out the old rubber bushing then clean it out with a wire wheel on a drill or something. Do not remove the old bushing sleeve. The Z32 bushings are longer then stock so you will need need to cut the lower lip off on the bushing sleeve (I used a die grinder). Grease the Z32 bushing, insert it into sleeve. The stock subframe nuts will have a hard time trying to grab threads since the nut itself has some spacing before threads. You can easily remedy this by swapping out the subframe nuts with the ones on some of your rear suspension arms.

This method does not involve cutting the bushing like the link above, although cutting the bushing to size may seem like a better alternative.
