Hi, I've seen the other post related to this topic, but I still a bit confused. My car is a 240sx 1996 with a KA24DE engine and a gauge cluster in MPH. (4 plugs)

I need to replace it with a I believe you call it here a JDM cluster because I'm moving to Germany and they require me to change a lot of stuff.

What do i need to buy? a JDM zenki cluster? is that it? do I need to replace anything else?
I've seen zenki clusters but they are from cars with SR20DET engines, so.... will it work?

Are you aware of any other modifications that I might have to do to make that car legal in Europe?

and NO, I don't want to sell my car to buy another one over there, i don't need a 200sx...
thanks...

It would probably be cheaper to sell the 240 and just buy a GDM (german domestic market- if thats what they call it) model. But your moving to the land of cheap bimmers and benz's, go with one of those. You could probably get an e36 M3 over there for the price of an s14 here.

Haha, ok, this doesnt make sense. You have to change your USDM to JDM because your moving to Germany? Why not just put in a EDM? You would have better luck with a European forum then here bud.

youd be better off buying another car. 200sx in Germany call it done

They plug right it in as long as you get the zenki one, not the kouki. And work perfectly afterwards, just your mileage would be different.

Not worth it to try and convert your car.

Just buy a 200sx in Germany and call it a day.

To all the people saying get a 200SX, what if he wants to keep the KA? He did put it in bold and that must mean something.

i dont know why, but the previous owner of my car did that swap even tho we dont need it here. in the beginning i thought iwas driving hundredss of miles a day. lol. weird tho.

Thanks for the input hustlervibes and (http://www.zilvia.net/f/member.php?u=46345)thatdrifterguy (http://www.zilvia.net/f/member.php?u=50498)...

Ok then, I replace it with a zenki one, now the odometer will not read correctly right/wrong? What else needs to be replaced to have the right count of kilometers?

It will read correctly in kmh, but if you were in america still and you wanted it to read in mph so you knew how many miles you added ontop of the previous number (ignoring the fact that it is kmh) then you would have to take a resistor off in the back. But that doesn't concern your swap.

I only know this because I have the JDM kouki cluster in my car converted over to mph, so I technically have a 180 mph speedo ;)

thanks...

I'll wait a bit for another answer to see if someone else has done it before too. I just want to be 100% sure before the TÜVRheinland sends me to hell...
