HUD Windshield (Socal)

hey,

i have a dash with the HUD on it but it doesnt work so imma get rid of the glass 2. its in perfect condition no cracks and no scratches. it cost $1000 at the dealership and u can have it for $450. LET ME KNOW

From my understandind there is no difference between hud and non-hud windshields. The hud display just reflects off the glass. That said, price may be too steep.

There really isn't.

It's just one tiny little square maybe 2"x2" that has a reflective piece for the HUD.

You'd be stupid to pay close to $500 for it.

I know what it goes for, but why would you pay $1,000 for something that can easily break and has very little difference to regular windshields that you can get for $80?

It boils down to how great you want the digits to show up. Mine with the regular windshield is kinda blurry, but you can still tell what it says. If I had the extra spending money I would get the correct windshield.

all it has is a piece of hologragrapjic paper right were the hud displays the numbers and you don't really need it cause you can still see the numbers with out it over price cause you can get a window installed for 100 bucks with new glass.

To answer everyones questions about the tape, they used to be sold out here in Japan about 5 years ago, and I have not seen any since I moved here.

if you want a working hud unit ill sell you a complete digital cluster so you can use the windshield and you can sale the rest to make so cash. lmk
